Question about Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 14 for PC

1 Answer

When we're opening the project, it's taking forever for the timeline to turn orange from green. When I click on a video clip I can hear the sound but not see the video. Do I need to wait hours for all of this to load first? It also crashed my computer and I had to run windows error fix to get it going again. Should I convert the files to a different file type (I have a converter program) Can I possibly edit a clip without placing it in a timeline? Or can I edit a few clips at a time in different projects and then somehow drag them into one big timeline at the end to same time?

Ok try 2 things,, I personally believe that the file typs your using isnt compressed and is the raw format which occupies a lot of memory and processor power which can be very time consuming..

1.) use an alternative file type like (divx (HD), or mpeg2 (DVD) or Xvid) personally i use Divx hight compression rate and almost no loss of quality)

2.) you can upgrade your machine or get one to meet this specs

at least 4 GB Ram
1 / 2 quad core processors (yes some boards carry multiple processors)
1 GB graphics Card (ATI Radeon) or G-Force..

there is another option and 1 I use as well

I built a multi processor system (parallel processing) commonly called a Render farm..

It involves having multiple computer called nodes connected to a server (development machine) all networked with special software. What it does is when it needs to render out an image its shared among all nodes GREATLY reducing render time. I do 3d development as a hobbie , on my development machine It took 57 hours for a 5 minute clip with my 15 nodes it took only 2 hours.. The more powerful the nodes the fater it works.

development machine
2 quad core processors
4 GB ram
1 GB ATI All In One wounder (graphics card)

nodes
1 quad core processor
4 GB Ram
1 GB network Adapter

Network
1 GB 16 port Switch
I use Back burner as the render client / server (software)

How to use adobe premiere pro 2

Hi,

Adobe premiere pro is software for video producers that takes you from the start to completion of your video project. You will run into less conflict working with other video formats due to the "Native Editing Support" from "SD" to "HD" that is provided in this software. A convenience is that every workspace has a separate panel and when using multiple panels they can be docked where you want.

Please follow the below step.

Step 1: Open the premiere software and choose which project you will be working with, either a previous, recent or new project. No need to change the default settings at this time.

Step 2: Go to the "Capture Format" menu and choose the type of format you want to capture, for example from the web or a dvd. (http://www.ehow.com/internet/)

Step 3: In the dialog box at the bottom give your project a name and determine the folder you are going to use to save your project. Before you click OK, select the "Scratch Disks" tab to create your own folder structure, this will make it easy when it comes time for you to move the media and archive. Now choose the folders you want to store the captured media you identified in step 2 and when you are ready, click "OK."

Step 4: Work with your sequences in the "Workspace Layout." This area is divided into sections, the top left and middle contain the project panel, source monitor and effect controls. The top right of the workspace contain the audio mixer and program monitor. The left lower section contains the media browser, info panel, effect panel, sequence and history panel. The bottom right panel contains the tracks, time-line, clips and audio meter.

Step 5: Edit your sequences using the "Timline Panel." Each sequence you add will appear as a tab within the "Timeline Panel." You are not limited to the amount of sequences you create or number of timelines you open.

Step 6: Create your video and audio using the "Tracks" feature. Each clip you add to the sequence needs to have a track identified. This is where you are adding sound to your sequences within your "Timeline Panels."

Step 7: Trim your clips using the "Source Monitor." Here you can add or remove a sequence by double clicking on the clip in the "Project Panel." You can then play back the clips in the sequence you assembled to view your project.

Step 8: Access the "Project Panel" and "Media Browser" for links to the different aspects of your video project when you need to add, change or remove sequences. When you are ready, go to the "Effects Panel" and begin setting the desired effects to the sequences you created.

Step 9: Open your "Tools Panel," which provide shortcuts on the keyboard for several of the functions mentioned in earlier steps. This is the beginning steps in using adobe premiere pro, to continue to the end of your video/media creating follow the prompts.

Thanking you

I have a Corel videostudio pro x3. On my timeline, there is an orange bar that don't go away. When I do the playback, it only plays the segment where the orange bar is located. Is is something to do with...

I had the same problem! If you go to your movie/photo display in the top left hand corner, click on "Project" next to the play symbol, and then extend the orange markers to start and end of your clip, and it will get rid of your problem.

I can't make a 16 minutes movie on my Pinnacle studio ultimate 12 program. I didn't have a problem to burn a 20 seconds MPEG file.

Hi and Welcome,

Click on the completed project in the timeline, go up to "Edit," click on "select all" in the dropdown menu, then RIGHT click anywhere in the now-highlighted project and select "Copy."
Now go back up to "file" and click on "New Project." Your current timeline will close (don't worry. It's saved,) and a new blank timeline will open. Left click anywhere in the new timeline, then right click and select "paste."
After a terrifying period when you think nothing is happening, your entire project will suddenly appear in the new timeline.
Save it with a new name, then try rendering again.

I have Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Collection 14. When I try to render a 4 minute video random clips become jerky and unstable. I've tried to render on different sizes, different file types, different...

I don't know what you mean by 'when I try to render'...what are you doing?
Pinnacle 14 Ultimate Collection renders the clips you place on the time-line automatically, you just have to wait foreverrrr..
(If the bar above the clips on the timeline is light-green, it means the file isn't rendered yet. If the bar is orange, it is fully rendered. The light green bar will turn to dark green as Pinnacle renders the file, then change to orange when its done.
*Pinnacle can NOT render clips while you are playing your video.)
P.S Whenever you add a transition, effect, montage, title, or otherwise change ANYTHING about a clip/picture, pinnacle will take its sweet time rendering the ENTIRE clip/picture all over again...

My video is fine until I import it into pinnacle. Then the sound is fine, but the video is slow

On top of the timeline there is a green bar.

You have to wait until the green bar turns to dark-green, and then orange (it is rendering the file to add your changes to it) before the video will run smoothly...
P.S this usually takes for EVAAAR.

When i go to make movie mode a panel comes up which readsas follows "cannot create disc because the selected menu has no links"

Studio error: Cannot create disc because the selected menu has no links
This error will occur if a menu has been added to the project, but links to chapters have not been properly set. It is not enough to just add a menu to a project; it is also required to have at least one point in the project associated with the menu.
When adding a menu to a project, you will be prompted to let Studio create chapters automatically or you can choose to create chapters manually. If you choose to have Studio create the chapters automatically it will always add at least one chapter and this error should never occur. If you choose to add chapters manually, it is then required to add at least one chapter. Here are basic instructions to accomplish this.
  1. Double-click on the menu in the timeline to bring up the Menu Properties.
  2. Select that video clip in the timeline that you would like to link to the menu.
  3. Right-click on the video clip in the timeline and select "Set Disc Chapter."
  4. Alternately you can drag the clip to the button in the menu displayed in the Menu Properties window.
For additional information on creating menus, please see the Disc Menus section of the Help file by going to Help -> Help Topics in Studio.
