My dryer model # is 110 96595220 65952 . It has the filter at the bottom of the door. Can you give me directions for this dryer??

    Thanks,

    Bill

I was not satisfied with the answer you gave; the answer was not specific to this dryer. I did find the problem; the thermal fuse was blown. I don't think you mentioned that in your diagnosis. This dryer has many switches in the circuit that could keep the motor from running.

If the unit has a lint filter in the top then remove the screen and take out the two screws then use a flat tip screw driver and push the clips in to lift the lid the clips are in the front about one inch in from either side of the unit.then take off the screws that hold the front panel on.you can also try and hold the door switch in at the same time some one is pushing or turning the start button and then at the same time try to turn the drum by hand and see if it starts.once you get the fron panel off then you may need to clean the unit out and blow or vaccum any lint build up in the motor area.if the drum turns then it just might need to be cleaned if it still does not turn then you may also hace a bad door switch.

ok with the model # you need to ck the thermal cut out . located below the drum on on the back side of the vent housing . ( remove the front panel to get to it it is white andabout 1 1/4 " long and only twoo wires go to it you can jump this to test but do replace it if bad as it is a proctor . . this is a one time fuse you cannot reset it ..mm it is part # 59 on sears lay out . hope this helps mm

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I suspect that either the heating element is malfunctioning or the control board is. Sorry but either will mean an engineer's visit ;-0(

Fan runs outside.when i turn unit back on it starts to freeze up again,,,,also no air blowing inside.

The unit is freezing up due to the indoor fan not running. This could be because of several things. First turn off the power and see if the indoor fan turns freely. If it doesn't you may be able to oil it but more than likely it will need to be replace. If that's OK then check the capacitor for the fan motor. If it looks swollen, it's bad. You can test it with a multimeter with the capacitor test function. If that checks out OK then you need to check the fan motor windings using a multimeter on the resistance function. An open winding means the motor needs to be replaced. If the motor is connected to a circuit board, the problem could be the circuit board. You would need to check for voltage at the motor connections on the circuit board.

My drum will not turn

do you hear the motor spinning? if yes, the belt is broken and needs to be replaced. if no, check the power lines to the motor for a fuse or repay that looks burnt. if all that is ok, you may have a bad motor.

Unable to switch on. Have checked safety switch and fuse on home circuit board - OK Power on outside unit on and OK Remote control has new batteries and display OK Cleaned remote sensor panels on both...

as per the problem which you mentioned it clearly indicates that problem is with the switch in the wall unit.but you mentioned that you checked the switch and it is OK.
this means that the problem is with the main circuit control board of the wall unit.on that board the component is got blow-ned out or any of the component is got loose.you will have to check out with meter .if it looks looks then component needs re soldering but if its faulty or blow-ned out then that component needs replacement.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Dryer won't turn on

Using a resistance meter, check the resistance of the motor that turns the dryer. If it short circuit (0 ohms) or open circuit (50ohms or greater) then you'll need a new motor.

There may also be a open circuit to the motor than inhibits it from functioning correctly.

An appliance serviceperson should be able to troubleshoot the motor and any other circuit faults. Perhaps a new (or slightly used) dryer is the cheapest solution.

Hoover HDV6UK keeps tripping circuit breaker

There are only 2 things that it could be both are heat related:
THe thermostat and thermal limiter OR the heating element. We can not rule out the motor though. Then you can get into the control boards. Maybe it is time.

Drayer problem

Check the belt, you access toi the belt by removing the back panel.

If belt is ok, then check the timer control, the motor, and the motor control unit, that is an electronic board, usually protected by an insulating box inside the appliance.

There are also a couple of circuit breakers you should check.

Entering the model number here you get the exploded view, and replacement parts.
