You have to remove all the screws on the rear base of the set,and underneath the speaker grilles, then separate the front and back.

I shut my sony trinitron off now it dont go back on the stand by light blinks 6 times i dont have the the remote (kids lost it) cant find users manual what can i do joe r bushkill pa

If stad by light blinks 6 times, it is the "Thermal Fuse", it goes next to the Light Bulb, looks like a tine antena with a plastic tip (like a transistor), follow the wires all the way to the back, unplug it, check the Part # and order on line with Sony.com or by phone. I paid $5.00 for that piece pluw $15 shipping. After that, make sure you clean up very well all the vents and fans, due the obstruction of those areas, inside Tv reaches a temp higher than 110, the Thermal Fuse blow out for protection. A well ventilated TV (clean vents and fan) helps to avoid this proble again. If you do not have your mannual, go to www.Sony.com and look for support, they have all the manuals there available for free online. Check it to make sure the light blinking and the times blinking correspond to that problem. Good Luck!!!

Hi just relaced the bulb 6 months ago Now tv

If you do not hear anything trying to come on, no fans, or relays clicking, you probably have a Thermal Fuse that has opened. Do to the dis-assembly that is required to replace it I recommend you have a qualified Service person come out to verify the symptom and repair the set. If that is what it is I estimate 400.00 or less to repair the set.
I hope this helps

Sony KF-50WE610 Tv won't turn on, red light blinks 6 times

3 times means Lamp and 6 means you have lost a voltage. You may have a thermal fuse blown.
This set has a common trouble with overheating caused by the drum fan located on top of the lamp housing clogged up with dust. When the lamp is getting old it runs hotter and that combined with the fan being clogged the thermal fuse blows. You must replace the lamp and thermal fuse. You must also clean out or replace the lamp fan. This drum type fan should be cleaned out every year or two depending on the environment.

Pt456c12 wont come on blinks green at the on off light

Good Day, teagues;
It sounds like a bad lamp. Lamps normally have a 5,000-hour life. Looking at the lamp can tell you if it’s bad if it looks burnt, but not always. Your Panasonic TV is also known for having failure of the ballast, which turns the lamp on. 95% of the time it’s the lamp, trouble shooting the ballast is a little more challenging.
The lamp replacement is a very simple process; instructions are in the TV’s owner’s manual. Call the factory, they will send you the lamp to your home with complete detailed instructions.

Good Luck, Big Irish.

I have a panasonic pt-45lc12

If you are not a tech you don't want to mess with the voltage that feeds the lamp. The vibration of moving the set can cause the lamp to go bad. blinking LED is usually a sign the lamp is bad. It is a good Idea to open the lamp door and then close it again to make sure the door switch isn't the problem

Replacing Thermal Fuse in Sony Grand Wega KDF-E55A20

The PROPER way to replace the thermal fuse is to remove the optical block first. There are at least two recessed screws holding the block in place. BE VERY CAREFUL removing the block as it is very easy to tear/rip wires when doing so. I cannot emphasize enough NOT TO JUST THROW THE NEW THERMAL FUSE INSIDE THE CABINET!!!! The thermal fuse is a safety device mounted near the lamp to prevent overheating. Those that choose to just let the fuse "sit out in the open air" are risking greater failures and the possibility of fire.

Pwer flashes 5 green 6 red

6 blinks is most likely thermal fuse failure. parts should be available through sony. thermal fuse is a 2 pin device under the lamp cartridge(looking from back) metal oblong looking peice that is screwed into the bottom of the tv. the new thermal fuse sent from sony will look completly different and as long as you cut the wires on the old one you can leave it in the tv and position the new fuse around the old one.
