Question about Mutsy Urban Rider Standard Stroller

1 Answer

The foot lever to unlock the turning mechanism is no longer functioning. The lever will go up and down, but the frame no longer turns. Do you have any solutions for this?

The lever is not stuck. It will move up and down in full motion, but it doesn't unlock the turning function. I live in 98122 (Seattle). Thanks.

Online in 2007 and I don't recall the "etailer" and I'm not aware of any local places that even sell the stroller. I have a feeling that I'm out of luck. I have sent an email to Mutsy in Europe.

So it is stuck in a locked position, is that correct?

It sounds like your stroller has some problems for sure... give me your zip code and I will see if there is someone locally that can take a look at this and get it fixed up hopefully.

Just reply to my answer here and I can help.

Thanks,
Tim

Not many places deal with these Mutsy strollers... do you happen to know where you purchased it, was it locally or online?

    Thanks

I have a yamaha 360 motor, in a flat track frame. Don't know what model it came in, it has a ser.#484. Any help would be great. Dale/ sondl7@aol.com

  1. Apply the Clutch
    • Pull the left-hand clutch lever back to engage the clutch for starting. Shift the engine into neutral by upshifting to the middle position on the foot peg on the left side of the bike.
    Insert the Key
    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn the key to the "on" or "run" position.

    Turn on the Fuel
    • Turn the stopcock on the fuel line to the "on" position to allow fuel to enter the engine of the 250 DT.
    Start the Engine
    • Fold out the kickstart lever and press down on it rapidly with your right foot until the engine starts. This may take multiple tries on a cold engine. Once the engine has started, rev the throttle to warm up the engine.

Don't know how to do button holes

Slide the back of the buttonhole foot "R" open, place your button in the cradle and slide the fott together so it holds the button.
Snap on the buttonhole foot on the machine. Pull down the buttonhole lever. It has a small white plastic paddle on the end and is located up and to the left of the needle bar. Pull the lever all the way down. Turn the pattern selector to Buttonhole. Place the tension on 3. Place the stitch width control on 5 or 6. Place the stitch length control a little below 1. Make sure that you have some stabilizer between the layers of fabric. Use freezer paper in a pinch. Lower the foot on your fabric making sure that the foot is not pulled forward or backward. Make a test buttonhole. AFTER EACH BUTTONHOLE YOU MUST TURN THE PATTERN SELECTOR OFF BUTTONHOLE AND BACK ON IN ORDER TO RESET THE MECHANISM. Make several test buttonholes, adjusting the width and length if needed.

As I shift the large gears I can't get into the mountain gear , it needs some adjustments and I don't know just how to do that. Chris

both the foot and wheel gear have two adj screws. turn bic upside down put gear in lowest setting turn wheel with foot peddle.adj front gear so outside gear or the side on the frame is bar-ly going to touch lever.do the same with rear wheel then move level to highest setting.and do the same this time the out side should bar-ly be touching the chain.after a few adj the gear should shift without any binning.

MODEL 760h WILL NO LONGER ADVANCE SLIDES

The KODAK Carousel 760H was manufactured approximately between 1971 & 1981.
The problem you are describing is most likely a broken cycle solenoid "link". This "link" connects the cycle solenoid and the slide change mechanism. Repair parts are still available, but this is a repair best left to a factory-trained technician. Contact an Authorized Repair Dealer.

1995 olds royale ls cruise not working

There is a gray colored wire on the back of the pivot pulse dimmer switch assembly that is most likely the culprit. Not the multi function turn signal/wiper/cruise lever, its the wires that go through the column down to the plug just under the dash at the column. You may be able to see these wires using a flashlight looking into the opening behind the turn signal lever pulling the lever like your dimming the lights may help to see this. The wire may be just hanging there. Very common failure due to the fact that these wires move every time you dim your headlamps. You will have to replace the "Pivot pulse dimmer switch assembly". in the steering column. This switch assembly is attached directly to the turn signal switch. Disabling the air bags and removing the steering wheel will be required. If you decide to do this yourself, I would strongly suggest getting a good service manual and following the procedure to the letter.

1972 corvette stingray, driver side door does not open fron either inside or outside.

Sounds like the door latch mechanism is worn out.

The door latch mechanism for your door is operated by rods, from the inside door handle, and the outside door handle.
It is highly unlikely, (Though not impossible), that all those two rods have fallen off. (Spring clips hold the rods in place. Opening Rod Control Clip. In the link below they are shown as Item E)

With the window all the way down, carefully use a long flat tip screwdriver, to push down on the lever for the door latch mechanism, to open the door. Make sure the lever for the door lock, in the door latch mechanism, is in the fully unlock position.

This link may help show you the inner door hardware, I'm referring to above,

http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-c3-door-hardware+1968+1982-inner-1-106-9491.html

You can see that when you pull out on the inner door handle, it pulls a rod forward. This rod is attached to a Bellcrank. The Bellcrank in turn pulls down on another rod, which pulls down on a small lever in the door latch mechanism, to release the door latch.

When you push down on the outside door handle, it pushes a small rod that is attached to that same lever as the inner door handle. Looking down through the window opening in the door, it is that lever that you're trying to push down, to open the door.

Viewing down through the window opening, try to operate the outside door latch a little. Watch to see what lever it tries to move. That's the lever you have to move Down, with the flat tip screwdriver.

With the door open, it is a matter to check out,

1.The Inside Door Opening Control, (The inside door handle is attached to it), to see if the locking part of it is functioning correctly. Make sure that it goes to the full Unlocked position.

2.The Door Latch Mechanism. Make sure it is functioning correctly. It, along with the various door hardware parts inside the door, needs to be lubricated at specific intervals. The more it's used, the higher the interval rate goes up. (I find that owners seem to Skip this task a lot! I use Lubriplate White Lithium spray)

To replace the door latch mechanism, I suggest you buy a manual for your car, so you can view all of the door hardware to remove, to remove the door panel. Then view how the spring clips come off of the rods, and the three screws come out of the door latch mechanism.

How to connect the walking foot for ls-2125i? I have removed the snap on presser foot. Unscrewed the leg so I could screw on the foot. The white piece to the right does not fit on my screw so it just...

Turn power switch to "0"
raise the needle to highest position by turning the wheel toward you(counterclockwise) and raise the presser foot lever
release the foot by raising the lever located at the back of the presser foot assembly
place a different presser foot on the needle plate so that the bar on the presser foot is in line with the slot on the shank
lower the presser foot lever and fix the presser foot onto the shank. If the p foot is in the correct location the bar will snap in you should hear a click or snapping sound let me know if this helped thanks! amy

Presser foot lever stuck

You lever doesn't work because the presser foot Bar is seized from lack of use.Open the side of the machine to access the bar. Put a mixture of water and ammonia ( about 80%water 20% ammonia) on the top and bottom of the bar. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes then try to move the presser foot Up by lifting the foot with a screw driver. Do not pry so hard you break something. It should get progressively easy the more times you do this. Put some sewing machine oil on the top and bottom of the shaft and it should be good to go.
