Hello. The water left in the bottom indicates that there is a partial blockage in the drain. Begin by removing the lower front panel from the dishwasher. To do this you will need a phillips head screwdriver [size 2] and a flash light. Generally there are 4 screws holding this panel in place. Once removed you will see the flexible drain line leading from the drain pump at the bottom and up through a hole near the underside of the counter top on it's way into the sink cabinet where it connects to the garbage disposal, if you have one, and into the ink trap.

Loosen the clamp at the base of the dishwasher holding the hose to the pump and remove the hose. Be prepared for about 3 cups of water when you disconnect it. Next, unscrew the pump and look inside of it. Often you will find a chunk of glass or other debris right there which is the problem. If so, remove it and hook everything back up.

If you do not find any debris in the pump disconnect the other end of the drain hose and inspect the entire length. IF you find debris in that hose, remove it. Next check the garbage disposal connections for blockage and then the trap it self. Joe

4 thumbs up please. ty.

Dishes not dry

No they don't do they. Even if you don't use "Sanitize" or "Air Dry". The water doesn't get that hot either if you haven't noticed. With the new "replacement" machine, even after it's done I can't touch the dishes for several minutes. But the LG made that little jingle indicating it was done. There must be an easter egg somewhere that tells the machine to dry. Whatever you do, go and buy Dishwasher Booster, whether your store carries "Affresh" or the Oxy Clean brand, use it every cycle with your washer. You'll thank me. Your problem probably isn't listed under troubleshooting either is it? Just hang some paper towels or a dish towel nearby and expect to dry your dishes when the machine is finished washing them.

The timer circuit on the panel needs to be replaced. It is not going through all of the cycles!

Dishwasher leaving a white film on dishes after wash/dry cycle

Well, that usually happens if the water in the area has too much alkali metals, such as calcium and magnesium.
Try putting some salt together with the detergent before you start the cycle.
And if it still does, try washing the finished dishes again with clean water, i mean, without detergent...

Make certain that the spray arms are not clogged and are actually turning during the wash cycle. Try using Jet Dry in the rinse dispenser. Make certain that the dishes, etc. all facing the center of the tub and not nesting (behind are in front of other dishes, etc.) that would prevent thorough cleaning and exposure to the detergent and water. Make certain that the water temperature is at least at 140 degrees.

Model # dwu7702aae has heat delay light coming on during cycle. Why?

Heater is used to both heat water during clean cycle and dry dishes after wash cycle. Most washers have either a separate switch for Heat or Dry for optional use, or some have the water heat and dish dry options built into cycle set options.

You can save money by turning off the Dish Dry option since it is a very in-efficient way to dry dishes. Instead, open the wishwasher door after washing cycle completes, just enough so fresh air can get into, and humid air can escape, dishwasher.

Water Heat option is only needed for dried food on dishes, and is never needed if dishes are either rised off before putting them in the dishwasher, or rinsed off inside the dishwaser with a Rinse cycle, if they are to stand for a time waiting for a full dishwasher for wash.

Dishwasher leaves soap in dispenser.

Hi Dirty Dish gang.
After having 2 appliance repairmen here, I now have the latest scoop on our dishwasher problems, $200 later!
Los Angeles IS currently having hard water issues. Also, all the new cleaning gels etc. are actually a cause of our dishwasher problems.
So, here is what we need to do:
1. Use Cascade POWDER detergent only.  Make sure is is just "plain" no "scented" or "complete"  or gel, etc. (I have tried a phosphate free powder and gel and this is a cause of our problem as well!) 2. Use Jet Dry in the dispenser (set it to a 2-3 opening) 3. Make sure water is at least 120 degrees 4. Only run dishwasher on "normal" setting.  All others just run it longer, hence causing more water stains. 5. Do not pre-wash dishes! You can knock of chunks with a "non" soapy brush, but don't rinse (the oils actually help to clean the dishes) 6.  Do not wash sponges in dishwasher.
Acid Wash: The repairman just gave my washer an Acid Wash today. It says it is an acid derived from lemon, I got mine from Carters appliance in Torrance, CA for about $19. I am to run a normal cycle with the above mentioned Cascade after this "acid cycle" is finished.
If you are still having problems:
Monthly maintenance: Glass Magic: Buy a box of Glass Magic (near the Cascade)  Use 1 Tbsb in main detergent compartment of dishwasher along with the Cascade, till washer starts working again. White Vinegar: You can run an empty dishwasher with white vinegar once a month.  Fill a bowl with 2 cups vinegar and place on bottom rack.  Then run as a normal cycle...this allows vinegar to disperse slowly.
So far it seems to be working.  Good luck.

Dishes are not coming out fully clean

first if the pump is running and you can hear it washing it should clean now hot water cleans dishes not the washer the hotter the better at least 130-135 degrees modern dish washers use less water than older models so if you don't get the water as hot as you can stand it at the sink before you turn the washer on you can fill it with cold water second its important that you use jet dry and if your dishes aren't dry at the end of the cycle then on most washers you can turn the disp up for more hope that helps let me know
