I have an HP6110. When I scan a document containing more than 1 page, it scans fine and I have the ability to preview and accept each page in the document. When I save it as a word doc however it saves all of the pages as one single page and it stacks all of the pages scanned on top of one another. The end result is a one page document that I can not do anything with. When I print it out it actually looks like each page is stacked on one another. what is the problem? Thank you, Marios

How do I scan a picture and email it?

Hi

You can start a scan from your computer or from your HP OfficeJet.
to scan an original from your Windows computer
1 Load your original either on the glass or in the automatic document feeder
(ADF).
2 Press Start Scan.
A scan of the original appears in the HP Preview window.
3 In the HP Preview, you can edit the scanned image. When you have
finished, click Accept.

For more information about making changes to an image during the
preview, see adjust an image during the preview in scan pictures and
documents in the HP Photo & Imaging Help for more information.
The HP OfficeJet does a final scan of the original and sends the image to
the HP Photo & Imaging Gallery.

I have an HP Officejet 6500. I want to scan a document to a PDF, then upload it to a website. How do I do it? I scanned the document, but now I can't find the PDF.

(1.) Start / All Programs / HP / HP Viewer / Scan Document (icon is in left margin)
(2.) A small screen appears entitled "Select Source", and provides the "HP Officejet 6200 Series TWAIN" option. Highlight this then click "select".
(3.) I accept the default provided on the next screen (i.e., radio buttons for "Document" & "Scan for editable text"; "Scan to:" (drop box) "HP Document Viewer; check "Show Preview" box; then click "Scan".
(4.) After a brief pause, my printer scans, then the HP Document Viewer screen on the PC provides a small image of the scanned document and allows me to click the "accept" icon.
(5.) After "accepting" the scan into the HP Document Viewer, it takes a minute for it to appear in the "viewer". Notice that the "View Thumbnails" tab is highlighted at the top of this screen. Click the check-box next to the scanned item then click the "View Page" tab just to the right of the "View Thumbnails" tab.
(6.) The new screen should show a larger version of your scanned document. Now notice the "Save As" icon in the upper left corner. Click that, then "yes" to warning default screen, then select a file name and location to save it into.
(7.) Before clicking save, click the drop box next to the "Save as type:" and select one of the pdf options. Mine offers: "PDF 1-bit", PDF 8-bit Grayscale", and "PDF 24-bit Color" options. Choose one of them then click "save".
(8.) You should then be able to find the scanned pdf file in the directory you selected to save it under.

Note that you may need all of the HP printer utilities and tool software installed for this to work. If you don't, you may need to uninstall/reinstall the printer software.

HP C6180 will NOT scan multiple pages into one file

If you want to scan multiple pages, go to HP Scan Pro, click on the SCAN menu, and then make sure that "Documents" is checked under "New Scan." This will allow you to scan multiple pages and it will scan black n white or color...whatever you place on the glass.

Scanner works correctly sometimes and then only scans a portion

I don't have the exact printer, but I was having the same problem with it. Here's what I did to solve it:
1. Before you start scanning open HP Scan Pro.
2. Click on new scan and it will give you a preview of what is to be scanned.
3. There should be a window you can adjust to scan only a certain area, click on the handles and pull them out to scan the entire page.
4. When you have surrounded desired area, click accept down at the bottom and it should scan the entire page.

Hope this helps!

(I should also probably mention I did this on my mac. It may be a little different for Microsoft users, but this should still work.
