Question about GE Profile WPRE6100G Top Load Washer
The start button actuates a small switch on the control board. Pressing the start button hard enough can cause damage to the microswitch, and/or loosen its connection to the PC board. If you rock the start button with your finger (ie circular rubbing motion), that sometimes works. Better still, open her up, find the microswitch directly under the start button actuator, a plastic plunger that makes contact with the microswitch, and press the microswitch button directly. Try jiggling the microswitch itself while pressing in the button. If it comes on, then it's a bad solder joint.
