Question about Feber TT Adventure 12v Truck

1 Answer

Our truck is about 10 months old and I cannot get it to take a charge. I am unable to tell if the battery is charged and there is a loose wire to the accelerator or if the charger is just not working. Is there anyplace that will service these toys (I ma not very techy)?

Battery discharge light comes of when braking, car doesn't charge correctly and starts hard.

The most common cause of the alternator not charging when the belt is wet, is the belt is glazed or not tight.
The only thing that comes to mind to cause the charge light to come on when braking is the engine is shifting and you are loosing a wiring connection or ground.

I have a discharge warning light on in my car. The car will start and run for a while (on a charged battery) but it soon powers down (dash and cabin lights dim to almost zero) and the car shuts off.

alternator or associated wiring suspect... test for 14.4 volts at battery when all is hooked up proper and running.. if less replace alternator or diagnose further the wiring to and from alternator

My battery light is on. what does that mean.

Normally it means a charging malfunction. Could be the alternator, battery, or a poor battery connection or cable, or a loose wire at the alternator. If the battery is over 4 or 5 years old, may be unable to take or keep a charge.
Test the alternator output with a voltmeter on the battery terminals, while engine is running. If voltage reads under 13 volts, alternator is not charging. Check all battery connections for a clean, tight connection, check the battery ground for a clean., tight connection. If no help, take alternator off for testing at a parts store. Likely it is a tired, worn out, or failed alternator.

Low battery backup

Have a read of the trouble shooting guide here,
http://www.razorama.com/razor-installation-guides.html

It sounds like a fault with the charger. Test the charger output with a voltmeter to confirm correct operation. IF OK then check the wiring , fuse, switch conections between the charger and the battery.

Unable to start. No power

no power usually means dead battery, or loose battery terminal. try moving the terminal and if that fails. try charging your battery, or even jump start it

The lights are on showing that it is charged but will not go. It is only 10 months old.

If the charger is left plugged in longer then 24 hours you may over charge the batteries and they will not work properly. Also You must charge the batteries once a month even if it hasn't been used.

Lift up the back end of the gocart and see if the wheels spin when you pull the throttle. If you only get a clicking sound start by replacing the control modulator. 10 months old your batteries should be still good unless you over charged them. (Leaving plugged in longer then a day) Good luck...
