If you are having trouble with your PS3 after installing the firmware update then this is a sign that you had corrupted data on your hard drive and this caused the update not to install properly. The link below will help you fix this.

My ps3 slim second generation is showing me red screen wen i try to update with ofw

Well, Jailbreaks are often very buggy. If you don't want issues like this to happen, then update only the latest firmware from SONY and don't MOD your system. I've seen several systems "brick" from MODS. Good luck, and hope this helps. ^^

For psp what does bricked mean

"Brick" means corrupting your Firmware, the system that makes your PSP run. Bricking can be caused by either "interrupted update of firmware" or attempt to install "PSP Hacks" also known as Jailbreaks or Custom Firmware (CFW).
Some PSP Models can be revived when bricked by using a system called "Recovery Menu" which becomes available when the PSP was running a CFW before it bricked. Another way of unbricking a PSP including those that runs Original Firmware is using Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory Stick.
However, there are PSP MOdels that cannot be unbricked. These are the PSP 2000 Slim that have the Motherboard TA088v3 and other higher end. The worst PSP Motherboard is the TA088v3 because once bricked, PSP becomes a lovely paperweight without game functions and possibility to be revived.

I turn my ps3 on then it beeps a couple of times then turns itself off what could be the problem

Your PS3 might be bricked. If you have been trying to jailbreak it or just installed a new firmware, this could be the case. You can try to hold down the power button for 30 seconds when you turn it on. If that doesn't work, if you can, try sending it in for repairs.

Round icon on top right corner.. doesn't read any media - games, movies, etc.

Update 3.30 just bricked your PS3. A future firmware update may fix this but so far Sony is denying any knowledge and telling users to send their console back to them.

Ps3 "bricking"

A "bricked" machine generally means that the software required to boot the device is rendered unable to function. 99% of the time, the device is now a "brick". The best thing to do here is to send it to Sony, and have them fix it.

60 gig ps3

Hello. Freezing is ALWAYS one of 2 problems. Heat or a jammed platter in the hard drive. Always try the solution for heat first as it is the most common.

HEAT: Get a can of compressed air and blow out your system from the front and sides. Most of the dust should come out of the back. This is a VERY common problem and this is the easiest solution.

Hard Drive: Get a different hard drive, instasll it into the PS3 and test it. They only cost $30-$150 for up to 120GB if you wanted to upgrade.

I hope this helps. Good luck and happy gaming!!
