Question about Sony VAIO VGC-RA710G PC Desktop
I want to recover a Sony VGC-RA710G computer. 1) I have Microsoft Office Professional with 3 licences. I am not sure if I will be able to reload this on the computer after system recover as it has already been loaded on 2 other computers. 2) It came with Sony click to DVD preinstalled as well as other preloaded software. I am not sure how to tell if these will be restored in the estoration process. 3) Is there a way to know that the recovery disks I have made are operational before restoring the system.
Unfortunately there is no way that you'll be able to test those recovery CD's without having to use them. Keep in mind that those discs only cover software and do not backup your documents. I recommend an external hard drive to do so. However in terms of Microsoft Office, if you have Vista you may a problem getting it reinstalled because Microsoft has introduced new DRM technologies to prevent theft. Have you used all 3 of your licenses?
The great thing is that in the worst case scenario you merely have to be on the phone with Microsoft for 10-15 minutes getting a new activation code.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
