I installed Sims 2 Double Deluxe and then hit run but when i hit the play button, it says: please insert original *Sims 2* disc. When it is in!

If You are installing it from disc then the disc is not written exactly what it should be. You can download it from torrent for free. Just search for the sims 2 pc full game torrent.

usually these kind of games requires play disc. im pretty sure that the play disc here is the disc 1 of your original sims game

There is no need for the original sims. Double deluxe already includes the original game, plus 2 expansions:The Sims Livin' Large and The Sims House Party. It also includes The Sims Creator, which is a tool used to create and customize sims.

You have to have the disc in your cd/dvd drive to play the game. the game will not play without the disc. If you have any expansion packs installed you need to use the latest expansion disc. For instance, I have Free Time but not Apartment Life so I must have the Free Time disc in the drive to play the Sims 2, not the Sims 2 disc.

I think university is the first or second expansion pack. I know there are issues if the expansions are not installed in order of their release. if you have say, seasons or freetime and then install university, it may not run correctly. You have to uninstall the packs or the game and re-install them in correct order. Yes, it's a big pain but I had to do it twice.
Install the SIMS2, or double deluxe whatever you have then follow this order with exception of say nightlife if you have have double deluxe because it comes with the original game.

hi, best thing to do is to get a "no-cd crack" from one of the file sharing websites eg, piratebay.com. Other than that you could search google for it, you will be give instructions on how to use the crack- its pretty easy. By the way do u know that the picture shows the sims 1?

2 disc nhl hockey by ea sports for pc. everytime I try to play it keeps saying install the correct disc in to the drive and click ok. I do but it doesnt recognise it. Is there something I can do?

do u have the original sims 2 deluxe cd or not....
if yes wipe the cd and insert it again....
if no get a patch for the game...
