Hello, I wasn't entirely sure what you're trying to accomplish, but if you try this link the DISH remote should work the DVD and TV set. Hope this helps!!!

The 625 receiver does not have a setting to control closed caption. This is a setting from your TV itself. I would look at your TV manual to see how you can turn the feature on. I hope this helps.

The remote in most cases will not work on a combo set for power and vol.

I have DirecTV and I have the same remote and I read somewhere you can use the codes for Sampo. I found the codes in the DirecTV remote's manual. The first one I used worked. Hope this helps!

It's kind of silly but I just pushed the VCR mode button, pressed the power on and off mode button & pressed the up button until the remote found the code. Took awhile but it finally worked.

Dish network receiver only have outputs. There are not any inputs on the receiver that would allow this but if your dvd player has an iput source you could run the Dish receiver to it and then the dvd player to the TV. I have a CyberHome CH-DVD-300 unit with a Dishnet remote. The remote code that worked for me is 724.

Hard drive has gone bad - send it back.
