Installing batteries with a higher amp output than is recommended may short out the fuses or fry the controller; it is not recommended that you interchange batteries between different types of scooters in order to prolong the life of the scooter.
Good luck!

Would like to know more about the solar panels discussed and shown on 2nd October 2014 at 05:15+

Solar panels are typically rated at .3 volts per cell. These cells are connected in series until they add up to 12 volts,24 volts or 36 volts depending on the solar system. The more cells you have the higher the charge rate of the batteries connected to the system. The DC voltage from the cells are used to charge the batteries then the voltage from the batteries is used to drive a DC to AC- convertor which is the power used by your home. The more cells connected the quicker it will charge the batteries and the more batteries connected the more power the solar system can provide.

Blower motor slows down when i accelerate

I have a thought you may try testing your battery voltage with the car turned off .It should read 12 volts or higher if not charge battery than check again if battery is lower than 12 volts after charging replace battery. If 12 volts or higher start engine check voltage on battery again it should be 13 volts to 14.5 volts not higher if voltage readings are lower than 13 volts or higher than 14.5 volts replace alternator.

Does a 12 volt radio/amp use more voltage at higher volume levels

I believe so. You need to draw more power to increase to bass.

side note. My system: Battery runs at 13.2 volts. When my Bass hits hard, the amp will cut into protection mode because it's getting less than 11.5 volts from the battery.

I reset and it works again and the battery will be back up to 13.2 volts.

1988-1992 12V or 24V

Isuzu models sold in the US are all 12 volt. I am assuming your vehicle is from another country if it is 24 volt.

I know this is a vague question. (trying to help out hubby) I am currently at work, however, our norcold elect/gas fridge/freezer in our mallard camper stopped working properly. the lp gas light is lit,...

Don't be despirate.

You need a little more knowledge ... I'm here to give it.

Your RV refrigerator requires 12 volts to operate; on gas or on electric ... it needs 12 volts - period.

Now then, your frig will get 12 volts from your 'power converter' AND/OR your battery. You do have a battery in your unit, correct? If not - why not? Get one. (Your power converter cannot provide all the 12 volts you potentially require in all circumstances. It is there to charge the battery, which CAN supply all the 12 volts you require. The converter can probably put out 15 amps - your battery can put out 100 amps or more (@ 12 volts DC). Relying only on the converter for your 12 volts will cause over heating and will eventually destroy the converter. Batteries are about $100.00 - converters are about $300.00.

As you know, your frig will run on gas if you are plugged in or on generator ... that allows your frig to get the 12 volts required to run the controls.

What about electric operation? If you are plugged in or on generator, you can run on electric because your Norcold has 12 volts from the converter and/or battery.

Whats going on? Your absorbtion type refrigerator requires a heat source to boil the ammonia mixture to create "heat removing" (you can't really cool anything ... only remove the heat from it!) You can heat the ammonia with a flame or with a electric CALROD. However, the control panel that drives the whole operation runs of 12 volts.

You have a battery and generator and are plugged in and it still doesn't work? You will find a fuse on the control panel in the compartment accessible from the outside of your unit. Check/replace the faulty fuse and you will be back in business.

I hope this helps you and hubby with your Norcold Frig. Thanks for your interest in FixYa.com. If you found this solution to be helpful, please vote. Thanks

I just need to know if it has a 12 volt system?

Peek onto your battery see if you can identify what kind of voltage it holds, I believe generally speaking all 2 & 4 stroke petrol motorbikes and cars uses 12 Volt system, most diesel engines uses 24 Volts. Good or excellent enough?

Wont turn on. everything should be connected properly, got new fuses to make sure. It worked fine until i dismounted and disconnected it from the battery. When i reconnected it, no luck it is a Autotek...

Make sure this high powered amp is not mounted directly to the chassis of the car. Mount it to a wooden board and you can screw board into the car. Because some very high powered amps can arc and damage itself.

Next make sure the tubular fuse in the hood is not bad it may look good but internally it got real hot and caused a bad solder connect in the fuse. You can test it with a meter. Measure one side then the other side if the 12 volt is going thru the fuse.

Next step is now you know your amp is getting 12 volts from the car battery but do you know if your amp turn on signal is turning on the amp itself. This is a easy test get a little wire and jump the 12 volt to the amp turn on wire if the amp comes on then you have found your problem. The amp turn on voltage is too weak were ever youve connected the signal. Normally you hook it up to the blue/white wire on the back of the radio first. If it doesnt have one hook up to the blue. Now on some very rare occassions the voltage drops when you put a load to it and is not enough to turn on your amp you can easily see this if the voltage across the blue wire goes below 12volts so hook it up to the red ignition wire so at least when you turn on your radio the red will send 12 volts to the amp to turn it on and will not drop in voltage. You see that wire has to be 12volts when it drops the amp will not turn on. Same with the battery Voltage you have to maintain 12 Volts or higher for the amp to operate.

What is the amps in the battery for the Audi 2001 Allroad so I may charge it

I am not sure you are asking what you really want to know

This will be a 12 volt dc system
The battery AMPERAGE will be labeled on the battery generally some where around 750 to 900 Cold Cranking Amps
Amps will have nothing to do with charging the battery
A battery CHARGER will have a MAXIMUM amp output Most lf them are 4 to 10 amps on a slow charge

My apc ups do not charge batteries it is su 3000 working wel but do not charge batteries

Your battery lifespan is probably over, (3-5 Years) or the battery could have a dead cell in it, my suggestion is to replace the battery. it should be a 12 volt 7 amp hr battery or a 24 volt pack that you will have to get from the manufacturer

Wiring issue on a 1965 Roadrunner Travel Trailer

Generic comments follow:

I'm not real clear on what you are asking ... I can almost guarantee you that you will not find a wiring diagram for your trailer.

Your travel trailer operates on 12 V DC. Your frig, the heater, all the lights, radio, all 12 volts. Your running lights should be getting power from the tow vehicle. While towing, the tow vehicle should be charging the battery. You may find some 110 volt lights inside, but probably not. To keep your battery charged, you have 110 Volt AC power coming in. Your frig may run on 110 V AC but it still needs 12 volts for control. Your Air Cond and Microwave and TV (if equipped) will al,so run on 110.

Regarding the three wires from the battery, there should be a battery charger close by your 12 Volt fuse panel. Even though the trailer is a "vehicle" dont depend on using the frame as a ground like you would in a car. So, that accounts for two of the three - a red or black and a white wire. There may be some dedicated line that the battery supplied to account for the third wire.

There should be a emergency breakaway switch on the front of the trailer. This is a switch with a pull pin. If the trailer breaks away, the pin is pulled out by the tow vehicle and the electric brakes should be automatiocally applied to stop the trailer. This switch should be powered, unfused, directly from the traailer battery and go directly to the electric brakes - presuming you have this feature.

Be aware, this trailer power supply was built and designed for a life style far different from that we enjoy today. If you have a 30 amp cord, as I suspect, 30 amps is enough to charge your battery, run your 12 volt items, run a TV and AC or TV and Micro or Micro and AC but not much else. As you are aware, you have two circuits built with #12 and they are probably protected with a 15 amp breaker though the #12 would be protected with 20 amp breaker in a house. The cord is only rated for 30 amps and it may be tired, unless you have replaced it.

I hope I have provided a little insight to your situation. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
