Region 4 question.

Regarding region 4 specifically..
SOME region 4 discs are dual encoded (such as the Back to the Future
Trilogy and a lof of the BBC discs) and since Australia uses PAL video
they will work on Region 2 UK players with no problems.
Bear in mind not all R4 dsics are dual encoded but if you have done the
update proberly then yor machine should be region free anyway.

For a definitive guide to which Australian discs are dual encoded
R2/R4, check the reviews at http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/ - they have
a lot of technical info on each DVD, including the region codes.

Most Region 4 discs will play on reg2 players anyway since they are PAL
encoded.
Be careful tho as the ones from Village roadshow generally are not.
If you buy from down under the site will normally say weather they will run
r2 to altho this is not definitive as many play anyway... always play those
that dont via your PC if you wanna take the risk.
