Question about JVC Cameras
I dropped my JVC Everio GZMG130 and now the zoom button only zooms from 26 times out to the max 64 times magnification. It wont zoom back to zero and starts at 34 times zoom when switched on. Everything else if working fine (i.e it still records (albiet at far zoom!) and downloaded the previous footage I had recorded.
You have a gear tooth damaged from the drop. This will need to be replaced and is a factory repair only.
Locate your manufacturer's help line from your manual and call them for service.
Some camera shops may be able to do this but it may be easier and more reliable to have the factory replace your lens.
