SOURCE: travelmate 2300 won't power on
The problem could be your bezel. Remove the 3 screws from the hinges from the rear and you will be able to remove the black strip above the keyboard (after removing the screws, make sure laptop is layed wide open) once removed, press the button on the motherboard under where the power button is. If the unit still does not power up, then your motherboard is bad and needs to be replaced. If it does power up, you need to replace the bezel.

you should be able to get all and any acer drivers for any of there laptops, desktops and tablet pcs on there support site which i will leave the link for now. i had the same problem with all my laptops by acer.couldnt get anything to install. utility downloads are on there as well and so are the drivers if you wanted to upgrade to vista.
