OPERATION (FIGURE 2)

A. Main On/Off Switch

The switch has two ON positions marked with and "Manual".

The "Manual" position is for manual operation. In this position the built-in remote control is by-passed.

The position is for operating the unit with the provided remote control. When in position the unit

is operated with the ON and OFF buttons of the remote control.

When the switch is in the center position the unit is off.

B. Heater Switch

The HEAT ON/OFF SWITCH supplies power to the heater fan and the heater element. When the

switch is in the ON position the heater operates if the thermostat calls for heat.

C. Heater Thermostat Control

To adjust the temperature to your individual requirements, turn the thermostat control clockwise all the

way to turn on the heater. When the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob

counter clockwise until you hear a click. Leave in this position to maintain the room temperature at

this setting. For additional heat, turn clockwise until you hear the click again and the heater will turn

on.

NOTE

When the heater is switched ON, the heater fan will operate. The heater element may or may not be

on, depending on the thermostat control setting (SEE "HEATER THERMOSTAT CONTROL").

RESETTING THE TEMPERATURE CUTOFF SWITCH

Should the heater overheat, an automatic cut out will turn the heater off and it will not come back on

without being reset. It can be reset by switching the MAIN ON/OFF SWITCH to OFF and waiting 5

minutes before switching the unit back on.

CAUTION
If you need to continuously reset the heater, unplug the unit and call Customer Service at 1-888-346-7539.

It's not difficult to do on your Model Electric Stove/Heater. However, if you have a drawing to look at, it makes it easier. So, in case you have misplaced your Owners Service Manual go to the link below and your can download and print it for future reference.

I have a Hoover WindTunnel with a bag that makes a burning smell. I cleaned the brush and the belt looks intact. It still smells really bad. Could it be as simple as needing a new belt?

Hi there,

yes it could be that simple. sometimes the belt will wear and stretch. Generally I advise my customers to replace the belt once per year, or as soon as something gets caught to stop the brush from turning.

Your belt number should be on the model/serial plate on the bottom of the unit there. 38528-###. I am guessing its a 38528-033 but could be 38528-040. Your model/serial plate will be more accurate.

The driver seat heater just quit. all fuses are good. how do you tell if the relay is good?

Swap it with a relay you know to be good and see if it works again, pick a relay that is not important to the function of your car.

Dryer no heating, air flow good..

Hello Gamoneda,
Since you are already able to access the components in your electric dryer..( Always remove or disable power before taking any measurements like this).. Unhook the heater element itself and measure for continuity through it. You will probably get somehwere between 5 and 20 ohms ( model specific) when that element is cold. You could also have a bad upper limit thermal switch or non-resettable fuse has opened but if you are measuring any of these components for continuity.. make sure you detach any wires that are plugged into them.. If you don't do that, then you could might get false measurements by reading something that is wired in parallel with them. Hope this helps..
Regards,
Rick
