Question about Bugaboo Cameleon Jogger

The Chassis part is loose. - Bugaboo Cameleon Jogger

The chassis is loose- in its locked positions it moves back and forth slightly, making it difficult to maneuver. I spoke to Bugaboo and they said that the only solution is to replace the whole piece ($300). It seems like it could be much simpler- like tightening a screw. Any suggestions?

I have a 1998 Ford F-150, it has some kind of bumper mounted inside the frame near the front wheels. It's rusted and broke loose, what does it do and what's it for.

IT is a part of the chassis frame and is required for chassis strength and rigidity . If the rust is bad enough I would consider a replacement chassis from the wreckers as welding in parts will do more damage than good.

A very common problem in older Mitsubishi sets is bad solder connections develop.

If bumping or jarring brings back picture you are going to have to get the entire chassis loose----it involves getting the chassis unbolted from cabinet, releasing some bundled wires and lifting chassis up so bottom is facing rear of set.

Then you take a good look in power supply and other areas for any "ringed" connections: connections that are cracked loose and not soldered solidly.

The hard part is getting the chassis loose; usually in this case I find four or more loose, or poor connections.

What happens is from age the board expands and contracts and some parts that produce more heat crack/break loose solder connections.

Let me know if you have questions.

Hi,

You can purchase a new handle from the suppliers or the retailier where you purchased the pram as this is much cheaper.

Hope this helps.

It sounds to me that you may have a cold solder joint ( loose connection on the board ). I suggest you remove the board ( or seek professional assistance ) and solder any loose connections that you may find. That may correct the problem. Good Luck.
