HI, I unplugged all the cables and did what you said, but it still doesn't scan. It goes through the process now and you think it's working but it doesn't. So, I'm assuming it may be an internal error like you said and that I may have to contact my dealer. Thanks so much!!!

You do not change any setting on your computer and on your machine: the machine work as a scanner, if you click the scan Botton, you should go to scan utility on your computer and click the scan command to receive the numeric format of the original image placed on the glass, if you need help about '' how do you scan a documemt '' : 1) click the start botton 2) go to control panel 3) click twice on the scanner and photo 4) the assistant will guide you to scan your photo. if my solution helped you don't forget to vote.

When I press the scan button on the brother machine it just beeps and check connection shows up in the display. Everything is connected because I can print and send and receive faxes okay. I don't know what else to try

check connection can be an error of fax line, power off the machine, unplug usb cabble, power cable, phone line, wait for 10 mn, plug only the power cable, power the machine and press the scan button, if the message was not displayed plug in the others cable, if the message still i think it is an internal error, you should call your dealer.

Wand Scanner - panscn08 buttons do nothing

Yes follow the first steps to set up the scanner (charge it, properly insert the memory card, etc.) Then you are ready to scan
Once you press the SCAN button and the Green LED stays lit its time to roll the scanner down your document to be scanned. When finished press the Scan button again to STOP the scan. If successful your Document count in the display will move from 000 to 001. That is the only indication that you now have a successful scan.
Next Press and hold the SCAN button until the display goes blank.
Now you can remove the memory card (by pushing in and it will release). Place this memory card into a memory card reader on your computer to transfer and view your scanned documents. Rinse and repeat.
BTW, I found a quick start guide for this Pandigital Handheld Wand Scanner Model PANSCN08 at:

Good Luck!

I am trying to scan slides with Epson Perfection V500 Photo...I placed the slides in properly and press the scan button on the scanner. It scans the row of slides as they appear on the scanner bed. But...

You have to have the plastic slide holder (positioner) placed perfectly. Look at the "A" and "C" tabs on the plastic holder. If they don't position your slides over the center of the glass, you are using the wrong tab! Slides have to be back-lit, which is what the top cover does. It doesn't light up the sides of the scanner glass, only the middle.

HOW DO I SCAN PICTURES TO MY MAC OSX

Load the item to scan You can scan from the scanner glass or from the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) tray, if your product has one. Make sure that the product is connected to the computer. Turn the product on. Load the picture or document: Scanner glass : Place the item with the print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the engraved guides around the glass (usually on the right-front corner or the left-front corner). Close the scanner lid. ADF : Place the item into the document feeder tray. The printed side faces up and the top edge goes into the tray first. Adjust the width guides to fit the item. CAUTION:Do not load photos in the ADF. Use the scanner glass instead to prevent damage to photos. Use HP Scan to start a scan Use HP Scan to scan items and edit them to adjust resolution or color, crop, remove red eye, etc. To scan a picture or document, follow these steps: Open the HP Scan program in the Hewlett-Packard folder. From the Scan Profiles screen, click either Pictures ( ) or Documents ( ) . Click Profile Settings , and then adjust any settings in the Capture , Adjust , and Page Options (for documents) or Enhance (for pictures) tabs as appropriate. If you want to save these settings as a custom scan profile to use in the future, follow these steps: Click the drop-down list to the left of Profile Settings , and then click Duplicate Selected Profile . Type a name for the profile in the text box under the profile icon. The new profile saves under Custom Profiles. Click Scan . Make any desired changes to the scan preview by using the icons available in the toolbar and the Adjust window. NOTE: You can use + and ? buttons in the Bottom bar to add or delete pages in the OUTPUT list. You can reorder pages by dragging them to new positions in the Sidebar. Select a destination from the Toolbar: If you opened HP Scan from other software, and want to send the scan to that software, click Return . If you are ready to save, print, or send the scan to a specific destination, click Save , Print , or Send . NOTE: If you are saving the file, make sure to select the file format that you want.

Can't scan PLEASE HELP!

SOLUTION: Download the latest version (v 7.7.2) of the HP software from the HP website at www.hp.com. Uninstall the previous software and then reinstall the downloaded software. WORKAROUND: Follow the steps below:
  1. Load the slides or negatives in the TMA and place it on the scanner glass.
  2. Open Image Zone and click on Scan Picture to scan everything.
  3. After the scan is completed, change the settings from glass to scan slide/negative from TMA. The unit will scan again and show the four slides or negatives in the preview.
  4. Click on the first picture in the scan preview and make the following changes:
    • change the dust and scratch removal/sharpness to none
    • change the resolution to 72 dpi
  5. Click on the second picture in the scan preview and make the same changes described above.
  6. Click on the third picture and then the fourth picture and make the same changes.
  7. Click Accept . The correctly scanned slide or negative images will be saved in the Gallery.

hmmm...did you try this from the HP print manager on your computer?

that will help with deciding if it's a scanner issue, or maybe more like firmware.
