Question about Garden

I have a craftsmen riding mower model # 917-28740. It will not start. It is getting spark and I replaced the plugs, the fuel is new, the fuel line is clear, the filter is new, yet no gas is getting to the carb. it fills the filter about an eighth of the way up and thats it. the mower probably has not run in six or eight months too by the way thanks

Make sure filter is on the correct way there is usually an arrow on the larger filters. You also might think of cleaning the carb! Good Luck...

Engine doesn't start and run...just turns over.

take the spark plug out and crank the engine over for 30 seconds to blow out any gas that may be in there. get another or a new spark plug and put it in and try to start it. maybe check compression to see if the valves are working properly. if you have spark and fuel and compression it should.

Mower engine not firing but brand new spark plug and clean fuel

Did you varify spark? How long was it sitting? if you have spark, may need to clean out carburetor float bowl. inspect it for sediment that could be clogging jets. clean carb. with todays gas containing 10% ethenol it really eats up the inside of fuel lines so may want to replace the fuel line if your mower is getting up there in age. If you have spark try spraying some WD40 into the spark plug hole , re insert plug and try to start. If it starts for a few seconds then you know its carb. good luck

G'day, I have a simplicity express ride on mower that was running when I got it, I've put a new battery in it, new spark plug, new fuel filter and new fuel lines. Last time I used it was running great

that video sounded like a very low battery, and, if you know your not getting spark, check the plug wires for continuity, and that there are good connection to spark plugs, once you get spark, then make sure you are getting fuel

Scotts by john deere riding mower - 220 hours, 17.5 HP, 42" cut, Briggs & stratton engine -- New Strarter, new battery, good fuel... will turn over but engine will slow down then stop, will not...

Very high likelihood you have fuel line problems. Disconnect primary fuel line from bottom of fuel filter and blow compressed air back up the fuel line to the gas tank. This will clear the line of any trash. Reconnect fuel line to filter. Then remove spark plug and spray a couple of sprays of WD-40 into the cylinder.. Re-install spark plug and then restart. WD-4- will act as a starter fuel and will start the engine for enough rounds to get fuel pump to working to normal run.. Good luck.

Mtd riding mower model 678, dumped gas, replaced fuel lines and fuel filter, new spark plug and battery, starts, runs for a short time then just stops running. wait for a while and starts but then same...

Crack the gas cap and see if this fixes it. If it does, clean the pinhole vent in the fuel cap. A vacuum on the fuel tank would explain your symptoms.
