I have a brand new Camelbak pixie. I can't make the nozzle work. How do I get the water to flow out of it? I have tried biting on it. Is there something I should cut?

The mouthpiece on my High Sierra hydration pack is leaking. Where can I get a replacement bite valve for it?

a lot of the brand mouth pieces will fit an average tube size. so you could buy a camelbak mouth piece and it 'should' fit anyway

During a 6 week trek in limestone country, we both noticed extensive white deposits in the tubes which impeded the flow of water. Assuming it was calcium carbonate, I have tried vinegar to dissolve it but...

The deposits may be a fungus that grows in camelbak, and other brands of, hydration systems due to sunlight shining on the wet plastic. It's possible that if you were using water containing lime that the lime has mixed with the fungus. To reduce the growth some systems have a black insulation which covers the drinking tube. There's a cleaning kit you can get which consists of 2 brushes, a narrow one for the tube and a larger one for the main water reservoir, and tablets which disolve or break up the fungus. You can get them at
or if you look on google for "Camelbak cleaning kit" you might find somewhere near you that sells them.

The fungus is not harmful but it does put a taste on the water and doesn't look very nice.

My bite valve leaks after having used it only a short while. What can I do to fix it or where can I find a replacement?

camelbak have a full range of replacement accessories for their pack range. i can suggest buying the connector that has the small lever lock so you can shut off the flow regardless of the condition of the mouth piece

My palm pixi screen is black and will not turn on. I have tried plugging it in, unplugging it, and pushing the power button (both for a long time - until I hear the phone make a sound, and as a quick push,...

Hi, problem can be solved.

Palm pixi cell phone has both a sliding phone and a straight phone.Which is yours?

Sliding Palm Pixi phone with a black screen is always caused by a thread like object inside the phone.
These threadlike object is connected to the phone board and is also connected to the screen. (makes the screen display). When it gets damaged or has a cut due to sliding of the phone, it makes the screen go black.

Straight Palm Pixi phone with a black screen can be caused, when the phone of the screen is damaged, might not be by the phone dropping on the flow,it might be an internal damage from factory (factory default).

I would advice if the phone is on guarantee, you can take the phone back to where you purchased the phone from fro them to replace it with another one.

Butplease, make sure you don't Tammper with the phone, sothat they can be able to replace it without any damage.

Hope ti helped

Thanks for using fixya.....

Just figured it out while messing around with it a bit! Remove the mouthpiece and you will see a grey rubbery valve underneath. Gently pull the valve upward to open it back up. Replace the mouthpiece and voila!

How do I fill with water

Hi there,

In the main sac part of the camelback, pull the velcro fastening apart at the top of it and slide out the bladder from the inside. There is a twist cap, undo this fill with water, slide the bladder back into the camelback to ensure you don't overfill it.

Fastent he velcro at the top and bite the mouth peice to drink the water.

Vote for me :)
