Fell in water. Removed battery and card. Dried it out. Still not working. Any hope?

If the lens is clear may I suggest baking the camera. With no battery or card in the camera put it in a clean container and place it in a car in full sun (Car is in full sun with windows rolled up). Do not put the camera in the sun, it should be in the shade inside the car. The high heat in the car may kill a dog but it should dry a camera. In most cases when people think the camera is dry it is NOT. In most cases a baking operation is really needed to fully dry the device.

If this fails then the water has left contamination. If the back is removed some Isopropyl alcohol, a brush and some patience you may be able to clean the circuit board. This is not a step for someone who does not know how to do this. Remember BAKE the camera first and after alcohol cleaning. Keep all alcohol from getting near the lens. This may be too difficult.

Samsung mobile sgh e840 fell into water

remove all possible [parts, battery, back cover, sim card, memory card and other things you can open using a special screw driver, let it dry several days or use a hair dryer on cool settings until determined everything is dry.

As for the battery, let is dry under the hot sun before attempting to put it back in the phone.

after that make a simple power on test, if it works, you are in luck, otherwise consider your phone completely water damaged and will not be accepted for repair due to the red water damage mark indicator.

I dropped my phone in the tolit and i took the battery and sd card. i dried it. all 3. then i used a blow drier. then put it in rice. will it work?

Yes it will work, since you have taken out a great quantity of water from it using the blow drier.
The steps to get it to work are:
  1. Remove the back cover,
  2. Then remove the sim card and the scan disc memory card,
  3. Then try to open it up by using a torx screw driver,
  4. then slide an object around the edges of the phone to remove the front cover,
  5. Then blow dry it for a while,
  6. Take note not to get the blower too close to the screen to avoid damages,
  7. Reassemble the phone back together and turn it on.
It will work perfectly fine. Since you have done most of the job, just carry out the rest and turn it on.

Take care and good luck

My camera fell in the water will it still work after it is aired out? Will me memorie card still be good too?

It's hard to really say. I guess it depends on how much water it took on and whether the camera was on at the time. Either way, I would suggest you immediately open the battery and memory case and take out the memory card and battery. Then get the good ole blow drying out and blow warm air inside the camera for a few minutes in the hopes of drying out any water or moisture that might have gotten into the camera. Next, leave all the covers open for a few hours or more (Patience is key! A whole day would even be better) and then put the memory card and battery back in. Then, turn the power on and hope that it works.

Good luck!

I had the same problem!! This might help: 1. Take out the battery, SIM card, and memory card (if applicable). 2. Let the phone sit in the sun for a couple of days. 3. Put the SIM card back in the phone and plug the phone charger into the phone. 4. When prompted, insert the battery into the phone 5. When battery is fully charged, remove the charger and depress the call button simultaneously.

I tired this and the phone is now working!!! Also, I do not seem to have lost any of the features!

Good Luck!!!

Water damage

It might be to late, but doesn't hurt to try, keep battery / sim card out, and put the phone in a freezer, if you don't have a freezer place it next to an air vent, wait over night (10 hours at least) And you should see water dripping out, warm it in your hands for about 20 seconds, dry it out with any towel / cloth place the sim card than battery in, if it doesn't turn on contact your phone company from a land-line about your insurance
