Question about Sanyo DP32746 32 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

SANYO 32 I have a SANYO 32" LCD tv. The problem i have is i turn the actual tv on then press a channel button for it to come on with a screen then after a few seconds it switches itself off on standby. I have changed the batteries in the controls and its still doing the same thing. The TV isnt even a YR old yet. Its really put me off LCD tvs. Is there any advice you can give me other than smashing the tv up because thats how annoyed i am with it at this moment. THANK YOU!

Your problem lies in the Power supply. I am an authorized tech for Sanyo, and in the Chattanooga TN area. Contact Sanyo at 1-800-877-5036. At the prompt hit the 0 key, and then ask for customer service. They will be more then happy to assist. If your set is to old for warranty repair you can purchase PWB's at www.shopjimmy.com, they sell used functional circuits at a fraction of the cost.

I am not getting picture on my TV it stic on only one channel we are chengiong channel but same sound is comming also we are getting a blue coloured K on right hand side of TV

That blue K means you are in the service mode. Unplug your set and wait 30 seconds. Then at the same time you plug it back in, you need to be holding the volume down button and the input button.
The TV should turn back and the blue K should turn pink. Once this happens, press the volume and channel down button at the same time. A menu should come on the screen. With your remote, press the up arrow to reach the nest page. The first option should say INIT. Arrow to the right and hit enter. In a few seconds your screen should turn green and say success. Unplug the TV and wait 30 seconds. Plug the set back in and turn on your TV. You can then set your set back the way you want.

No response to any button on remote or tv except power button

Press the 'Favorite' button on the remote. You may have accidentally pressed it. It locks the channel. Pressing again unlocks.

Channel displaying on Samsung 32"LCD TV

Most remote controls have a "display" button. Pressing that is what gets that channel number on the screen. Try pressing it again and the display should turn off. On some brands the display may cycle through various combinations (channel number only, channell and time, etc.) before it goes away, so it may take more than one press of the button.
