Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290

Blackberry 7290 Device error: 400

Hi,
As an expert, you should recognize immediately what is going on when seeing the title of my request. I ve seen many forums and solved it out twice but now after deleting one software i am not using in my bb7290, the error came back and noway to get ride of it. I own this machine for 10 days and i am not sure whether shall use it anymore!!!

Please help me .

Could someone help me with Device Error 400 for Blackberry 7290 please? I have this error since yesterday and can't resove it. If anyone can help me with would me great.

    I know what happened to my bb 7290...I put a theme from a different blackberry and when it turned on device error:400 poped up

I know what happend to min i put a blackberry theme on my bb7290 but the theme was from a different blackberry device when it turned back on code error 400 came up help

Re install the OS (Firmware) using the appplication loader!!! there is no way to get that error fixed without re installing the OS! that already happened to me..... Very easy to fix. More help : aguiadosul_83@hotmail.com ! stay cool
And you can have the last Desktop Manager and the last OS (handeld software) at blackberry.com

Try uninstalling the Blackberry Software Suite and the Blackberry drivers from your computer from the device manager. Power off the Blackberry, then connect it to the USB cable to see if it begins to charge. Look for the device to show up on Windows. If it does not show up, try booting the Blackberry device back up. If you're still not seeing anything (and especially if the phone isn't even charging), it could possibly be a hardware issue.

Blackberry 7290 device error 400 how solve this problem


When adding, deleting, or updating applications on your BlackBerry smartphone, your BlackBerry device resets itself and stops responding.You receive the following error message:
Device error 400

  1. Disconnect your Blackberry smartphone from your computer.
  2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  3. Open BlackBerry Application Loader.
  4. Reset your Blackberry smartphone.
  5. When the LED indicator has turned on, reconnect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
  6. Click Next.
  7. On the following screen you will see either USB:Unknown or USB:; click Next.
  8. Select the required applications from the applications list and click Next. The firmware is loaded to your BlackBerry smartphone.
Warning: The following procedures will delete either all data, or all data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone. Back up the data on your BlackBerry smartphone before performing this procedure.

My phone has an error that say device error 400 reset. it wont even let me use it or nothing

My blackberry 7290 Rim(T-Mobile)says: Device error


An unspecified error has occurred with an application on your Blackberry smartphone.


Resolution In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, run the BlackBerry Application Loader tool.
Note: The following procedure will delete all data and applications from your BlackBerry smartphone.
  1. Disconnect your Blackberry smartphone from your computer.
  2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  3. Open BlackBerry Application Loader.
  4. Reset your Blackberry smartphone.
    1. Remove the battery cover.
    2. Remove and reinsert the BlackBerry battery to reset the BlackBerry smartphone.
    3. Replace the battery cover.
    To perform a hard reset on a RIM 850 device, RIM 857 device, RIM 950 device, or RIM 957 device, insert the end of a paperclip inside the small hole on the back of the BlackBerry device.
  5. When the LED indicator has turned on, reconnect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
  6. Click Next.
  7. On the following screen you will see either USB:Unknown or USB:; click Next.

You can download desktop manager for free from Blackberry.com web site.

If you are able to get this to work, good luck, because I am unable to get the desktop manager to find the blackberry, nor is the USB port reading what the device is.

But you can give the desktop manager a try,and also download the software for your blackberry. I'd suggest you download the 4.3 version of the software and be sure it is in the language that you speak (they have several, look for ENG for english)
