Question about Garden

1 Answer

I was working on doing my mothers house up but an unexpected crisis has occurred which means I could be out of the country for a few months. I've stripped the place bare ready for the nice fixtures and fittings I was working on putting in but I'm not going to be able to earn the money for that or do it until the other business is sorted. I'd like to make it a bit more homely for her and don't have much time. So I figure some paint on the walls and ceilings, and a bit of speed-fit to reconnect the central heating system I was re-working should go most of the way but there is a lack of floor coverings. What's the cheapest flooring type that will work on an uneven kitchen floor (am not going to have time to level it) and not look a complete state? Also similar question for hallway and living room. Am in the UK and can't afford to spend more than £500 on doing this. I'm thinking corded carpet for the front room and hallway, nobody who knows how hard it is to clean would ever buy it so it's always cheap and vinyl tiles for the kitchen. If you have better ideas and suggestions please advise. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips, would normally close this question now and award you points but due to nature of issue am going to hold it and see if anyone else got something to add for a bit. Thanks once again for your help.

Sheet vinyl is a better ideas than tiles, throw rugs are interesting though cutting carpet and banging down a few staples doesn't take too long either. The sheet vinyl idea is going to be loads faster than vinyl tiles good call.

Hey,
I was right with you thinking carpet and vinyl....only differences are that I was thinking throw rugs....they are easy to put down and would cover most of the floor area....here in the states you can buy them very easily and cheaply in precut sizes....
The other difference would be that I would use a sheet vinyl instead of the block....
This also can be bought in different sizes and you would just need to cut it quickly so it will fall into the room... it is very durable and will hold up on uneven floors....

These things will get you what you need for a temporary situation...

I have a 1997 Chrysler Concord, I had sitting for a few months, it starts, but it turns off right away?

You aren't saying this, but I'm willing to bet that one of two things occurred: either - 1. the battery was disconnected to prevent drainage while in storage or - 2. the battery was low and needed charging before you started it up.

I say this because the symptoms you describe are consistent with an activation of the immobilizer system. This occurs when the battery power is lost unexpectedly by the PCM for any reason. There should be a procedure to reset the immobilizer in your owners manual.

Gateway MT6840 unexpectedly shut down and wouldn't

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

My dishwasher stopped working, bought within the past few months, it seems like no power is getting to it. I've checked the breaker and all other appliances in house are fine.

Please provide make and model number of the dishwasher along with some indication of the last cycle it completed before this problem occured.

My SAVIN 2575 is giving error code sc820, any idea what the problem is ?

Unfortunately, I've never seen this error, so I can't give you much help beyond what the code means and the possible solutions that the service manual provides...

SC820:
Self diagnostic error: CPU - Unexpected external error or interrupt occurred.
• Controller board defective
• Software defective

The manual indicates this is a "C" type code, so this should not be displayed on the OP panel, only logged in the SC history in the machine.

Is XP Media Center what you had installed previously when the cam was working? If so, are you using the correct and latest driver from the manufacturer for said operating system?, That being also said, are your video and audio drivers up to date for the operating system?? Those will be the primary concerns, however remember that a corrupt download or one that became corrupted as a result of the hard drive crash could be the real issue. So in other words, start from scratch and check everything you do.
