Have you tried other headphones? If so, it sounds like your headphone jack may be dead or damaged. I've had this issue several times with iPods. If you are still under warranty Apple will replace it. Otherwise you'll need to remove the headphone assembly to clean out the bands (notice the bands on the end of your headphones there is a matching pair inside the iPod.). Pretty simple to do but takes a steady hand and some patience. Post back if you want to try it.

Not really a factory reset is fairly simple, just connect it to our computer, open iTunes, select your iPod and perform a factory reset. More instructions here (

Have you tried other Headphones if so you can reset to factory default settings and see if this cures the problem, Just goto settings and then reset settings and confirm. This takes it back to the day you bought it. And in 7 out of 10 cases works.

I hear echo sound every time i play music/movie and i cant figure out to turn it off "how"

Does it happen with headphones in as well? If not, do you have a built-in-microphone? Sometimes the sound coming of the speakers can be picked up by the microphone, resulting in an echo sound. Make sure that the microphone is off (or test it by covering it up while playing some music), and quit out of any applications that are using it.
If you hear it in the headphones as well, it could be a sound card problem, which means it would need replacing. If you don't hear it in the headphones, but hear it in the speakers and don't have a mic, it's either your speakers, or (more likely) your computer just doesn't get along with whatever software you're using to play movies/music.

Panassonic PR-HTX& head phones: both sides of the head phone work at the same volume. but with no stereo. all sounds come equally through both sides. I've opened them up and all the wires are...

That particular set of headphones are definitely a stereo set. This means the problem is with 3rd party hardware. If your using a jack adaptor it will need to support stereo. If you are using the headphones with your computer you need to make sure that the sound card and software all support and have stereo enabled. Manufacturer will not make a mistake like wiring in-correctly ;)

My lenovo y 430 has no sound for hedset & subwoofer doesn`t work. ... and right speaker works but left one doesn`t what should i do?

Make sure that the correct playback device is set as default in sound properties.
If all is well there then you could try a pair of headphones to see if the sound is working.
If headphones work ok then it is down to your built in speakers, not much you can do unfortunatly unless you are still under warentee

Problem using headphones 3.5mm output with Sony Bravia tv

Just mute the TV and you will get sound out of your headphones. You may have to turn the TV sound up though.

Headphones don't work right.

It might be that the contacts for the headphone jack is very dirty. Try using a cotton swab with a wd-40 on it to clean the inside contacts on the jack.

Altec Lansing VS4121, New Speakers, No Sound

If the speakers are brand new it makes me wonder how you know they worked fine in the States? I am also wondering how they were transported due to them probably being intolerant to extremes of temperature/humidity and probably vibration.

I am also wondering if you are using the correct supply voltage and type of supply.
If you are using the power adaptor supplied for use in the USA, it would probably be incompatible with your supply even though you are using a transformer.

If you are certain the speakers are in good order I suggest you obtain a power adaptor designed for your 220 volt 50Hz supply. I have browsed a little and cannot find a note of the power requirements for the integrated amplifier but this is presumably marked on the adaptor, the speaker or in the manual and so the power adaptor could be checked on and off load with a suitable voltmeter. I would be surprised to learn the supply is adequate
