I have reset and it sees other routers but mine. I have tried to connect direct with LAN but still it will not allow me to connect to the internet. What am I doing wrong? I have looked at everything that I can ????

Go to the control panel and click on NETWORK CONNECTiON, there u could see ur connection if it is working!

How to speed up internet network


The speed of your internet is determined by your service provider and their modem. If possible, connect directly to the modem to check the speed. If you suspect you D-Link router is not allowing you to get full internet speed, first a Hard Reboot of you Router and Modem.
If that did not solve the issue, try a known working LAN 5e cable between your modem and router. After you have established it is not a cable issue, do a factory reset.
I had an issue where my speed to the internet modem was fine, but the router LAN connections only provide a faction of the internet speed. After testing cables, etc I did a factory reset and it restored full connection speed on my router LAN ports.

Router dsl3780 red internet light keeps coming on


Usually indicates problem with the router's internet connection. Check the LAN cable between your internet modem and router and try a new cable. Reboot both devices. Direct connect to the internet modem to see if it is working correctly with interruption.

The final solution is a factory reset of your router. You can do a factory reset by logging into the router using you browser. Go to the settings and perform a factory reset

If you forgot the router password, you ill have to do a factory reset by locating a small hold on the back of the router and insert the tip of of paper clip for about 10 seconds while the power is on. The router will be reset to out of box status and then you can set-up form scratch.

No internet access netgear router


It may be the device you are trying to connect. shut down everything, unplug , remove batteries, plug in the ISP model, allow the self test, plug in the wireless device, allow it to self test, plug in, reboot the device, laptop, desktop, ipad, phone, whatever. You say you can connect using a Ethernet Cable? Just no connection wirelessly?

Orange globe keeps appearing on my dlink dir655 and it disconnects internet


First try replacing your LAN cable between you internet modem and the router. A bad cable the is intermittent may cause this issue. Try rebooting the modem. Also if possible try a direct connection to your internet modem by LAN cable or wireless and see if your connection stays up. You could have a bad internet modem or other connection issue from your provider

Was working ok then internet down and red light on router constant - have done the turn off turn on routine and reset router to no avail. have also plugged indirectly to computer - green light then comes...


Try rebooting both the modem and the router. It could be that the modem didn't pick up it's ip number when the internet went down. Then try pluggint you computer directly into the modem first to make sure it is setup and working properly. Then plug in the router (to the modem) and the PC plugged in directly to the router and check.

Once you have it connecting at that point then check the wireless settings on both the router and the pc. Then enable the wireless on the pc, unplug the LAN and switch to wireless network on the pc and see if it won't work.

If it works plugged in on the LAN but then not on the wireless then either your configuration isn't correct (ie wrong gateway ip number...gateway should be the same ip number as the router...ie 192.168.***.***) or perhaps the wireless part of the router died. It is possible for the wireless to die and the LAN (hard wired connection) to still work.

is your router powered? make sure your router is powered properly.

are you connecting your computer to the LAN ports? (the ones with a number not the one that say WAN? connect your computer to one of the LAN numbered ports and check to see if you get a green light on the front pannel. if you don't have green light, try a different port until, if you run out of ports and still no green light try a different cable.

have you by any chance disable your lan ports? I don't know if it is possible on your router to disable some ports, if that's the case is better to start fresh and simply reset your router by pressing a reset button for a minute while your router is getting powered and retest to see if you a green light on the lan port where you are connecting your computer.

if all this fails, it's very likely that your router has died. replaced accordingly.

Take your ethernet cable from the wan port and plug it into the lan port.

Cannot connect to my Netgear WRG614 v6 Router. My Dell laptop shows an excellent connection but it says limited or no conectivity? I have tried several suggestions and reseting several times...nothing...


If you are using LAN cable from your ISP. Try to connect it to your Computer LAN port directly or how you connect directly your internet connection from your computer without the router. Then on your system tray try to look the internet icon activity usually a two monitor icon. Right click on there. Then select status,then support, then details, from there see the DNS number you may get two DNS numbers set then put that manually to your wireless lan settings.

for the three desktop OK
Then connect your LAN cable directly to the router.
listen connect cable switch to router then router to laptop and then give automatic ip address in your laptop OK or ipconfig /release give this command and then give command ipconfig /renew then connect to your 192.168.1.1 its connect ok

Sounds like you know what you're doing... but.. based on what you've typed..

You need to make certain the comcast cable modem is plugged into the seperate port on the back of the router called WAN and not next to the other LAN connectors.

The network is seperate from the internet. The router acts as a firewall and shares the WAN with the LAN internally and automatically.

I assum that you have one red light on WAN.. and three green lights for LAN..
