Had same issue with a BlackBerry 8320. Disabling the 22MBps on the DI-614+ fixed the problem (in performance, advanced tab, select 1-2-5.5-11 MBps for TX and Basic rates).

I'm using an SB5101 and trying to use a new wireless router with this modem, but the set up is saying I have a static IP address... where can I find that on my computer whil I'm using my old router? thanks

I have one, after finding out how reliable and well-made they are. However, they can be picky during setup, especially since they have a rare 'config IP' address (the number you type into your internet browser's address bar to change the modem's settings). Click here >> 192.168.100.1
See this link for more info.

Have a Belkin N150 router. Status constantly says acquiring network address. If you go to the support part it says invalid ip address.

Make sure your wireless card is set to acquire the IP address automatically. You can do this by going into:
  1. Go to "Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Network Connections"
  2. Right-Click on "Wireless Network Connection"
  3. Click on "Properties"
  4. Double-Click "Internet Protocol" which you should be able to see in the small list in the box
  5. Now you will be able to see an option to "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically". make sure that both of these options are selected.
If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, the flow is the same, but certain options are labeled differently:
  1. Go to "Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center"
  2. Click on "Manage Network Connections", which is located on the left hand side of the window.
  3. Right-Click on "Wireless Network Connection"
  4. Click on "Properties"
  5. Double-Click "Internet Protocol Version 4" which you should be able to see in the small list in the box
  6. Now you will be able to see an option to "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically". make sure that both of these options are selected.
  7. Repeat 'STEP 4 and 5', but this time select "Internet Protocol Version 6".
you can check the IP address of the connection by checking ipconfig:
  1. Click on "Start >> Run" or "Start >> Start Search bar"
  2. type in "cmd" and then press "Enter"
  3. In the black box that appears on screen, type in "ipconfig" and hit "Enter"
  4. This will give you a long list of information about your connection. There should be a small heading called "Wireless LAN Adapter Wireless Network Connection" or "Ethernet Adapter Wireless Network Connection".
  5. This will have an "IP Address" or and "IPv4 Address". If the IP Address starts with 192.168., then it means it should be functioning properly. If it gives you a 169.254. address, it means the laptop is likely faulty.
Hope this helps

It appears that your notebook has wifi capability. You need to be certain that your network settings are correct. You need to get to your wireless network settings. Follow these directions:

Go to My Network Places, right click on My Network Places to get a menu
Choose Properties on the menu, You will see a new window open
Look for the wireless network connection and right click on the wireless network to get a menu
choose Properties to open another window. Look inside the window for TCP/IP settings.
Click on TCP/IP and choose properties.

Make sure that "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS address Automatically" are both checked so that you are able to connect to your wireless router. That is the usual TCP/IP settings for most home networks.

I hope that this helps.

try setting your computer to "Obtain an IP address automatically" you might have changed your IP address that's whyn you cannot connect through the internet. got to your wireless connection status>properties>scroll the bar down and you will see the internet protocol (TCP/IP) click once to highlight and the click properties. after thata window will come out and just mark the Obtain an IP address automatically. after that click ok then close the application and refresh your network list. if it did not help, iw will find another way to fix that.

Trouble connecting wireless

first thing to do is to dissable the ethernet connection in network connections on your notebook so as the ip address does not conflict.

assuming it's XP and assuming DHCP is enabled in the router settings, right click on your wireless conection in network connections, properties>TCP/IP line, highlight it and then click properties again, then ensure obtain an ip address automatically is ticked, apply and ok, close window.

If neccasary run the wireless network wizard in new connections in network connections.

Open internet explorer>tools>internet options>connections tab and ensure that 'never dial a connection' is ticked, ok and close IE.
Open IE and click refresh a few times.
