Sounds like you need to run a heavier Gauge wire for power source. If power source wire is too small, you will get a voltage drop. Check your source wire gauge compared to connector on equalizer. You may end up having to run a heavier gauge direct to battery, with fuse link in line. See what the amp requirements are in manual, and make sure wire is heavier than minimal. Example: if 15 amp required, I'd go to 12 gauge minimum, or to be safe 10 gauge. (longer the run, heavier the wire.) Be sure all connections are good as well.

I have a zapco model PEQ board and i need the cable/wire wiring instructions can you help me?

The plug consists of a 7 pin plug which contains a ground, a hot lead for the PEQ itself, a neutral for the PEQ, and a hot and negative for each L and R channel, respectively. I had mine changed to RCA's years ago by a local shop, then soldered the connections myself after the proper connections were changed at the shop. I now have the signals changed into a Symbi-Link Transmitter/ Reciever System (unbalanced to balanced inputs) and am able to de-tune the PEQ and still get more output. It's fun... Hope the info helps.

Zapco 18 band eq

You will need to call the manufacturer, ZAPCO - 209-577-4268, or email them at tech support robert@zapco.com , in order to purchase the part you are missing. It is possibel to hard wire the RCA parts you need and creat a homemade fix, but in all honesty it is not worth it, and it will probably introduce a lot of interference in to the quality of your signal path rendering it a bad option. Give them a call / email. If they will only sell the part to a dealer, call Car Depot @ 615 - 269-8080 and they can have the part purchased and delivered to you for a small fee. Good luck.
