SOURCE: Full Bucket light stays on so dehumidifier will

If you don't have the manual it's here for free...

http://www.retrevo.com/support/LG-LHD45EL-manual/id/17335ci969/t/2/

Look at the picture in the upper right corner of page 12. The RED button is located in the upper left rear of the bucket cavity.

It may be jammed. Tap on it to make sure it moves freely. It must be pressed IN to indicate NOT FULL and allow operation. You should hear a click when it changes state and the light should go on and off. The weight of the float in the bucket presses it in until the water level rises.

My DEHUMIDIFIER shows check-red light

well you didnt mention model but most times this occurs on dehumidifyers it means the bucket full sensor has tripped , this does not mean that bucket is full, it just means that bucket is either not seated all the way in or maybe the sensor has moved in the bucket and no longer hits the sensor as it should , try reposisioning the bucket and full sensor , ck for looseness

Comfort-aire model bhd501b unit comes on then goes off-bucket full light flashes- code comes ch-10

I've had to strap several buckets on with bungie cords; they shake some and the bucket full sensor thinks the bucket has been removed.

GE dehumidifier light says bucket is full but it isn't

Try feeling both sides of the outside of the bucket and make sure the bucket is flush with the dehumidifier. If one side is sticking out more than the other it may notbe engaged correctly which will cause a full bucket notification. If everything checks out ok there try takng the bucket out and push in on the button that the lever from the bucket engages on at the dehumidifier. If the light turns off after you push on the red button that means the bucket is not engaging correctly. If the red light stays on and it doesnt make a difference he button sensor may be defective. If you found this solution helpful please rate it.

CH1 IS SHOWN AS WELL AS THE BUCKET FULL LIGHT

I have a LG model LHD65EBL that first started icing up along the top edge during humid days. After several months of this, it finally stopped working and displayed CH01 with the bucket full indicator flashing.

I took apart the dehumidifier, removed the temperature sensor from the coil and rubbed it between my fingers. I then plugged in the unit and it started right up, confirming either a sensor or other circuit problem related to that sensor. For my model unit, I ordered sensor assembly #6877A30013L from RepairClinic.com for $21.75 + shipping.

When I received the assembly, I measured the new and old sensor with an ohm meter: new sensor = 5.5KOhms, old, defective sensor = 5.34KOhms. I installed the new sensor assembly and the unit is working fine.

Just because the bucket full indicator is flashing along with an error code does not mean there is a problem with the bucket full switch.
