Re: Having trouble with the date and time settings
The Manual states that the internal clock is ran by the internal lithium battery. It suggests that you plug the cammera into the AC for 24 hours to charge this battery. I'm having the same problem and am plugging it in tonight to see how that goes.

After trying the remove-and-reattach-battery exercise, I would suggest you go to the menu and find the setting for initial setup. Select that - which may reset the system. If not.. then try going to the clock and change the date/time settings, turn the camera off, remove-and-reattach the battery. Re-power the camera, go back and change date/time setting to what's current. And try to eject the tape. On one of our analog video cameras it seems like there was a tiny little hole someplace on the side of the camera that you could use a tiny small thing like a toothpick to press in there to accomplish a Reset. (It will have tiny raised letters saying "Reset" right beside the little reset hole.)
this camcorder has a built in rechargeable battery for the memory of the date and time, if you do not use it for more than three months, it will discharge all the way; to recharge, you need to plug camera with ac power for 24 hours and the camera turned off. this should charge the internal battery complete.
Hi there. Here is what you do to set the date and time.
1. Find the Menu button and the scroll wheel right below it.
2. Press the Menu button, scroll to the system menu.
3. Set the time zone/DST for your city.
4. Scroll down 1 more and set the current date and time.
5. Hit the menu button to get out of the menus.
That will fix you. Come back if you need anymore help and feel free to rate my answer.
