Do you have your chain properly tightened. I always tighten mine so that you can lift chain at its mid point about enough to slip a nickle under. This is just a rule of thumb. But it works well on my stihl. Hope this helps. Thanks.

A brand new chain for chain saw is not cutting hat would be the problem?

A new chain may have to be sharpened to
the correct angles & cutting depth for your
saw

You can do that your self

Get the small tool that goes on the chain
& the proper diameter file, at a saw shop

Best if the chain is clamped into a vise & you
do 3 or 4 teeth, then move it along

You can do it on the bar, but it will be floppy to
do your filing

Chains are somewhat generic when made

Do you have the correct chain for your saw?

PLEASE do not shout. Rules here do not allow us to contact you directly. Without a serial number I can only get you close. My best guess follows:
A Poulan "2375LE Gas Saw Type 2" link below (may not be your saw):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/2375LE-Gas-Saw-Type-2/75.2375LE-Gas-Saw-Type-2.1.59.1.html
It appears you must purchase the entire clutch cover. See the "Handle, Chassis & Bar Assembly"; item 36; pn 545139903; $18.50.

All Poulan 2375 saws can be found here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
The dash number of your serial number is the type.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa and Good Luck. HTH

My chain keeps binding up, i get it back on, start running my wild thing and with in 10 seconds it binds up

Try putting a new bar on it. Sometimes during use the grove in the bar gets a kink in it. This will cause the chain not to move like it should. Also, the sprocket at the end of the bar can go bad also causing a malfunction.

Best bet!!!!!! Buy a new bar...

A drawing of a Poulan Wildthing can be found here:

There are multiple drawings, this one may not be the correct one. The detail isn't very good but this is the best illustration for your saw. The "Handle, Chassis, and Bar Assembly" shows what is available. GL

Poulan 2375 w/18 inch bar keeps throwing the chain

when you put the chain on new did you adjust the tension on the chain.most new chains need to be ran a few minutes to heat them up a little.then you need to readjust chian so it doesn't sag out of the bottem of the bar, also when you adjust the chain you need to push the tip of the bar down so the bar is in the up possition.if you don't the bar will work it's way up and loosen the chain.

Chain oiler

take off cover to the bar, remove chain and bar. spray degreaser or hot soapy water in and around the interior housing. look carefully and you should see a small hole that is where the chain lube comes from. typically all you need is a good cleaning in this area. hope this helps.
