Question about Kodak ESP5250 All-In-One InkJet Printer

3 Answers

I have Windows XP. I was finally able to connect the Kodak ESP 5250 with the USB cable and print. However, I can't get my computer to print wirelessly. The printer is connected to my wi-fi. Do I need to change the driver to go from USB to Wi-Fi? If so which driver and how do I do it?

I had the same issue as well. I had to add the printer manually.
Start>Printer and Faxes
Add device
search for the driver
should be under C:\Program Files\Kodak\AiO\Printer Driver\EKIJ5000.inf
that will install the printer and you will be able to print.
I am still have troubles with the scanning aspect but that will get you printing.

I also had a problem with the 5250 disconnecting from the wi-fi network off and on. Called tech support, and they told me my Avira anti-virus software might be blocking the printer's access to my computer, which is also on the network. Went into administration properties of Avira, and in "exceptions" I added the working files of Kodak Home Center, and so far so good. hope this helps

I`ve just purchaced a kodak esp 5250 printer.and im unable to connect to my bt home hub wireless . I`ve followed the instructions that came with the printer Can you help. Thanks

You can try to check if you have done the steps here. If everything fails, you might consider getting a USB cable to connect the printer directly to the computer first and use the Kodak Printer Setup Utility to connect. Make sure to install the printer's driver and software using the disc beforehand.

Can i print from my computer without the usb 2.0 cable

To print documents from your computer you will need to have it connected via USB. If you just want to print pictures you can load them on to an SD card (or any of the other supported cards for this printer), plug the card into the printer's card reader and print directly from the printer.

If you want to be able to print without using USB you should look into wireless printers such as the Kodak ESP 7250.

My Kodak ESP 3 Won't Scan

Did you install the full software driver for the all-in-one? The drivers are here: http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=9103/12666/12667&product=EKN034524

Next try a new USB cable and plugging the unit into a different port. If you use a print server or USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer. Scanners need bi-directional communication with the computer and thus are likely to have issues even if the printer doesn't.

Can the scanning software on the computer initiate the scan? (That is in the full software package. Alternatively Vista came with Paint and File> Import from Camera or Scanner > New Scan.)

I hope this helps.

I have a new Kodak ESP 7 printer and have not been able to set it up to communicate with my Mac OS 10.5 laptop. I can print if I have it plugged into the USB. I understand I might need an extra unit to...

Hi. I can help you connect your wireless ESP 7 to your Mac laptop.

The first step is to connect your printer to your wireless network. Navigate to the menu on the LCD of the printer and select Network Settings/WiFi Setup Wizard. The blue WiFi LED should be illuminating steady if the printer is connected to your WiFi network.

The second step is to add the WiFi printer to your Mac using the Print & Fax System Preference...
1. Under the Apple Menu, select System Preferences
2. Select Print & Fax
3. Click the "+" sign to add a printer
4. Select the Kodak ESP 7 listed with the Bonjour connection
5. Click the Add button.

The final step is to verify that you are printing to the WiFi printer when you attempt to print. In the Print Dialog box, verify the selected printer is named "KodakESP7+1234" where the last four digits are unique to your printer. If the printer you have selected is "Eastman Kodak Company KODAK ESP 7 AiO", then you are attempting to print using USB and this will not work unless you have a USB cable connected.
I hope this helps.
