First of all a link to the manual: Have a look at page 14, 9. Go out of MixOut ( line level ) into any line level auxiliary inputs left and right on the other mixer. You didn't say what the other mixer is so this is the easiest. What you will have is a sub mix of everything plugged into the Samson controllable by the controls for the line in you are using on your second mixer. There are other options which you should be able to discover by reading your manual for the Samson and the manual for the other mixer.

Please! show me how to connect an electric acoustic guitar to the mixer

You can't. A mixer won't take the input from a guitar. You would need to connect the guitar to an amplifier and then connect the output from the amp to the mixer.

A mixer is what it is, a device to mix lots of incoming audio signals and mixing the volumes to a number of speakers.

The unit does contain pre-amps, but not to run a device.

RMS PM 10400s not turning on suddenly

They may have ran it too hard and blew the outputs and thus blew the main fuse. You will have to check to see if the main fuse is blown...It should be located around the ac cord...sometimes it is built into the ac receptacle where the cord plugs in...other times it is inside the unit and requires dis-assembly which should be taken to a qualified technician......unless you know what you are doing...and do not plug the unit in while you are looking for the fuse or taking the unit apart. If you do not know anything about electronics then DO NOT touch it...get a qualified techician to take a look.

Shud i get an external equaliser? i'm using MG166CX 16-Channel Mixer as the main mixer.

An external equalizer will not help this at all. The problem is likely within the amp (feeding the main speakers), the connections from the board to the amp, or the speakers themselves. In other words, the answer would be "NO." Best of luck!

Power mixer to a power amp.

You have two aux sends on that mixer so quite easy to use one of those to feed the external power amp. You could have one set of spkrs connected to that amp and another connected to the powered mixer. This would give you full independent control over each set.

How to connect floor monitor to mixer

You need to connect the speakers using an XLR cable into the Main output jack on the back of the mixer. If they are powered speakers you will need to connect them into a power source and turn them on AFTER connecting them. Once powered on you can control the signal going to the mixer with the Main Mix fader.

  1. Turn mixer on
  2. Ensure Main Mix level is at zero
  3. Connect from Main Output to Monitors
  4. Turn Monitors on
  5. Turn up Main mix to desired level

Marshal mg15fx : Noise when i connect the amp to a mixer.

Mixer uses balanced outputs, this unit does not... Also ground loops can be a problem. Make sure this and the mixer are BOTH powered from the same receptacle. The next problem is that the level of the mixer is MUCH too high for an amp designed to recieve guitar signals if you are sending a mixer into this. It is NOT clear how you are connecting this to a mixer... IF you happen to be trying to send signals from this to a mixer, either use a mic OR use a Direct Input box. You should tell us exactly how you are connecting this to the mixer since there are MANY ways, and most do not make sense.

Where do you connect wires from mixer to stage monitors

Judging from your mixer, I would connect your stage monitors to your SUB outs. Your mixer has 4 of them, allowing you to make 4 separate mixes to 4 monitors.

I need 2 channel (sliders) pots for my Mackie 1604 mixer, where can I get them

The best way is to contact Mackie support directly. They are extremely helpful. Please note that these units are not the easiest to access. Extreme care must be taken when dis-assembling them to prevent damage to the internal cables. The contact information is listed below. Just follow the link and either send an Email or call them directly. Also, have the serial number handy as there have been a few mods in the lifetime of the 1604 model

DJM - 400 effects Button will not turn on

IF everything else (all buttons and functions) are working, then I would SUSPECT that the actual button switch has failed.

Probably the internal guts of the button have broken and what was random was actually the parts intermittently bouncing around giving false contacts.

OFTEN the replacement of the parts require dis-assembling the whole control panel which requires a bit of expertise AND patience.

IF the button is a little switch unit, that is an unsolder and solder in new switch.. If the buttons are conductive rubber type keyboard, then it probably requires cleaning... for that you use 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q-Tips.

Unless you are adept at electronics I would recommend taking this to a shop. Care in dis-assembly and handling of the connecting cables is a must.
