Casio te 4000f use i just bought one and it gives me E194 select menu error what should i do

There is no error by the number 194 in the standard firmware. Your machine has probably had a special firmware implemented for a special use. This doesn't matter too much as they will usually program the same way for all of the usual things. Firstly, I'd perform a flag clear which will jump the machine out of any tasks that it is currently waiting on. It doesn't lose any data so it is safe to flag clear.

1. Turn the machine off at the power.
2. Turn the key to the 'program' position.
3. Hold down the RECEIPT FEED button (keep your finger on it).
4. Turn the power on.
5. After 3 seconds, let go of the RECEIPT FEED button and press SUBTOTAL once.
6. Wait for print then turn key back to REG mode.
You will need to sign on to use the machine. Normally, you press one of the clerk buttons just above the keyboard to sign on unless it has been programmed for PIN number logon (you should have been given the PIN numbers if this is the case).
Once you have logged on, try making a sale.

If the machine gives another error, check the receipt that just printed. Let me know what the number at the bottom of the receipt is. It should show 'FC' then a number.

Your machine needs a service. Get a qualified tech to service the Key slot for you you will be fine or you might have to replace it altogether. Good luck

How do you assign a key for a clerck.

On most machines a PIN number must be entered and then the clerk button pressed. If the PIN numbers have not been assigned, the default is usually 1

Not assigned

No one is assigned to the machine. You need to tell it which person is signing on. Enter the clerk PIN number then CLK# or CASH# on older models. If you need to re-program your clerk sign on numbers, there are many programming manuals here:

How do I program the clerk key? I have a casio cash register pcr-t2000. The manual is very hard to follow Thank-you Cornelia

Hi Cornelia. I need to know what you are trying to program. Are you able to log on using the clerk button? Is it just not working, or do you want to alter clerk details. Please explain as best as you can.
