Could be too much oil. Check oil livel and make sure that the oil is not too thin (gasoline in oil). Install new spark plug, add premium fuel in tank and start engine without the air filter (air filter could be dirty or soaked in oil). Run for a while to see if condition improves (no or less smoking). Replace air filter while the engine is running to see if it makes a difference in performance. If installing air filter had no effect, and engine continues to smoke most likely valve guides or rings are faulty. Hopefully it will clear up. Good luck

I have a 2005 9.3 arc and theirs a ticking noise coming from engine it idles rough and it burns oil what could it be

Ticking may be valve lifter collapsed. Rough idle and oil burning could be burnt valve and poor maintenece. Run compression test to determine condition of rings and valves.

Oil level rise on dipstick

Black smoke is either a rich running carburetor or oil is being burned. Most carburetors are adjustable. Try adjusting any screws for best run. Oil burning and level could be a plugged crank case breather (cleanable), bad rings or valve. Good luck with this one.

Oil light came on runs really rough and then shuts down. so far i replaced fuel pump, mass air flow sensor, oil pressure sensor and oil level sensor. nothing yet. no check engine light either.

Don't run the engine with the oil light on. No oil pressure means no oil circulation, and damage will result. Have a shop check the oil pressure with a gauge that plugs into the oil pressure sensor port. If no pressure, check if you need a new oil pump.

92 dodge dakota stalling,running rough,loss of power

Did you replace the fuel filter when you replaced the pump ?
Was it running rough before the pump was replaced.
Did you replace the cap and rotor too ?
"Sucking a ton of air" could be a vac leak, or the sound of the throttle open when the engine is bogging down.
Is the check engine light on when it is running ?

My service engine light is on and the engine is running rough . What doni do ?

Shut down engine immediately before more damage is done. The engine oil and the oil pressure condition must be checked.
The timing belt condition or if the period has elapsed for changing the timing belt must be checked.

What will over filling a 1995 accord with oil do

It will cause the oil pump to burn out making the oil flow through the engine not possible and eventually blow the motor from over pressure.

Endeavor burns a ton of oil...

These engines have been known for faulty cam seals (eg. Montero, Montero Sport (Nativa), Endeavor). You might not see oil on the ground because it gets burned up by the exhaust. Check that first.

Runs rough, lags, and will backfire if I push it

This is probably one of four things or a combo thereof...dirty fuel injectors, cracked distributor tower/burned points (if it's not electronic ignition), burned valves or air/gas flow sensor if it's computer controlled (the chip is likely bad).
