Can i record a video on A4tech PK-635 Web Cam

Yes you can. You can either use the webcam's included software amcap or you can also use Windows Movie Maker.

To do this, follow these steps:
  • Go to your Windows Movie Maker Movie Tasks and then select "Capture from Video Device".
  • Select webcam from the list of analog devices.
  • You must also select the video input line you want to use for capturing your webcam video.
  • Then enter a name for your captured video file and the location of the drive where you want to save it.
  • Select your video setting preferences for the video you want to capture.
  • To stop capturing, you can either choose to stop anywhere during the recording session or indicate a specific time limit before the recording stops.

Hope these steps help. Goodluck!

I HAVE NO VIDEO CAPTURE HARDWEAR COMING UP NOW ON MY A4TECH CAM I DOWNLOADED THE FILES DRIVERS BUT STILL CANT GET IT WORKING BUT OK ON XP MAYBE I NEED TO LOAD IT WITHOUT USING DISC BUT DONT KNOW HOW HELP

Uninstall first completely the driver from your computer. Go on Start, click control panel. On control panel double click add remove program. Scroll down to select your web cam driver. Click remove, then restart computer.

To install the latest driver for your web cam and the manual, click the files below

1. A4TECHPKDrivers.rar

Good luck. Please give a good rating if you successfully install your webcam.

My A4TECH PK-636MA WEB CAM WON'T WORK AFTER INSTALLATION

remove all previous web cam drivers from the pc ...
reinstall the driver ...and after you plug it ...let the wizard to search for the driver and do something that seam like reinstalling second time ...
if it will gave you some errors for missing files (example: missing dll.d50 or something like this ) just click browse and locate the file manually from the installation cd ...or from the folder where is installed it depends...sometimes I dont know why ...just do not see some files...maybe its something about compatibility ...or ...OS )
if after this is still not working ...see maybe is not a webcam that will work with your operating system ...some dont work on vista ...or windows 7 ...

Cam won't work anymore!

You may need drivers for the Web Cam If you have these install them or if they have been installed install them again the reboot the computer and the drivers should install properly if that does not work when you reboot un plug the Web Cam then plug back in again

Getting error u do have video captureing hardware

Hai,
I think u have a wrong setup for ur web cam.
Try set it up as a web cam and not as a video device.
Video device needs a capture card or a proper driver for the device to work.
Hope u got the idea
