That is a possibility, but for safety reasons I would recommend that you do not turn it on until you have someone with EXP look at it and see fit they can fix it or not.

I OWN A 1996 NISSAN QUEST GXE THAT'S BLOWING BLUE SMOKE FRONT FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE AND I CAN SMELL ANTI FREEZE INSIDE.. I JUST BOUGHT VEHICLE AS A COMMUTER.

Sounds expensive. Blue smoke usually means oil in the combustion chambers, from worn out rings. Anti-freeze inside means leaking hoses or heater core. Not sure where the driver-side tire comes into this, unless that is where the smoke is coming from, in which case that likely a problem with a seized brake caliper.

Loosing oil no leak no smoke coming from exhaust

there`s only 2 ways to lose oil. one is a leak somewhere from the motor the other is the motor is burning oil. just because you don`t see smoke doesn`t mean its not burning oil. you don`t say how much oil your losing between oil changes. if its only about 1/1.5 litres between oil changes then this is a normal lose which means its burning slightly.

Blue smoke

Blue smoke (how many miles on engine, 50k or 500K???????
to some this means, burning oil, others steam
it that blue smoke lingers a long time that is oil burning
and smells just like oil burning.
and means 2 things,
1: engine burns oil.
2: if car had autotmatic trans the vacuum modulator love fail
and suck ATF fluid to the intake plenum and burn it, and bingo burning oil like mad.
3: PCV valve packed solid, and forces engine to leak oil or burn oil. or both. this is a 50k miles service point, skipping this?
4: gas in the oil making it thin and not sneaks past valve stems.
does oil change cure this.>?

now engines.
worn out engines smoke. (burn oil)
as do bad valve guides and seals.
and bad piston rings.
100 years same story, and miles matter. History on engine too.
matters.

Engine concern

Smoke (blue or black) or steam (white)? White smoke is really steam that is caused by water leaking onto hot surface. Could be leaking from hose running to heater coil under dash, or something else. Check radiator water level to make sure water level is ok. Blue smoke is oil burning. This could be dangerous, caused by similar scenario of oil leaking on a hot surface (from a gasket leak, etc), or exhaust fumes. Black smoke means something is actually burning and could indicate fire. Black or blue some could fill vehicle cabin with toxic fumes, even if you don't smell anything bad.

750 gsx750f smoking

Bobby, There are two types of smoke. 1. White smoke means that the engine if burning more fuel than what it should. This can be rectified byt adjusting the fuel intake. 2. Black smoke means that the engine is burning lube oil. This means trouble as it indicates the piston rings are going. Specially the oils scrapper ring. Please check from the exhaust, when it is touchable if you finger gets wet soot on it. This the burnt oil. Check the oil level too. If there is need to add oil frequently, then that is bad news. Please visit a workshop.

What make my 1993 blazer smoke

there are a few reasons for the engine to smoke. first determine the color of the smoke, white smoke means its burning water...possible bad head gasket or cracked block or cylinder heads. If the smoke is black...means the fuel mixture is to rich, getting to much fuel. If the color is blueish...it is burning oil, meaning the oil rings are worn, and or the valve seals are worn as well. if it smokes when you first start it, and then stops after a few minutes, once the engine is warmed up...probably bad valve seals. if it continues to smoke it is more likely the oil rings. Valve seals being cheaper and easier to repair, where as the oil rings means the motor needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

I switch it on and with in ten mins its smokeing, whats the best way to get it fix it

Hey how's it goin'?

I had the same problem too.

There's a couple reasons the heater will do that, neither of them are good.

One reason is the heater has developed a leak and you can't fix that. The units are oil filled and if it was dropped or the dog chewed a hole in it ( I had a pretty mean dog ) then you can't seal it, it's time for it to go.

How the heater works;
Oil inside the unit heats up, expands and holds heat while you're getting warm. If the unit is leaking oil, you might even smell something like motor oil burning. That would be a gigantic tel-tale sign.

One other reason, and I had this problem too, is the wiring is getting tired and the wire jackets are getting too hot.

There's a couple reasons for that too, but unless you're a wiring expert or electrician, you're outta luck again.

Once the jackets of these heaters wiring starts to burn, there's no turning back. You need to replace all the wiring and terminals or solder new wiring inside. Special wiring, terminals the whole nine yards.

Rewiring one of these baby's is a job for an expert, even I might shy away from one. And I've been in the industry for 35 years.

The final question is this;
Is your dog's life worth saving $20 at a garage sale?
I know, I know, it can be a toss up.

But make sure and DO NOT USE A HEATER THAT SMOKES.

TURN IT OFF
UNPLUG IT
TAKE IT OUT OF SERVICE TILL REPAIRS ARE MADE
IF YOU WONT FIX IT, DISPOSE OF PROPERLY

Good luck.

Why does my honda accord smoke reel bad

This is either worn valve stem seals or worn out oil rings. Have someone follow you if the car smokes more as you release the throttle on deceleration it is most likely valve stem seal if it smokes more on acceleration it is worn oil piston rings. If the smoke is white you have a blown head gasket blue smoke means burning oil, black smoke means too rich (to much gas reaching motor)

My 1995 olds royal 88 has blue smoke coming from engine area

Blue smoke is oil and if it's coming from your engine compartment most likely means the gasket on your valve cover either needs to be replaced or it could even be as simple and needing to tighten the valve cover bolts a bit. Oil is leaking from the valve covers and working it's way to your hot exhaust manifold and that is where the smoking is most likely coming from.
