I had the same, I think it's the auto cut-off.
Try this:

Cut the power first!

Then you can open the control-panel from the botton with 2 screws (while facing the control-panel, look as low as possible near the floor and you'll see those 2 screws facing you)

Then you can flip the control-panel open a little bit from the lower side. It's still connected with another screw somewehere at the upper side, but no need to open that one as well.

While opening this panel a bit, you'll see some 'thing' hanging inside, that 'tells' the heater if it's placed correctly or not (it prevents the heater from working when you hold the heater, for example, upside down, I don't know the correct word in English, sorry)

You can press this 'thing' in the upside direction and you'll here a click. That's it, maybe...this worked for me, so give it a try!

White-rodgers 1f80-261 thermostat: Set to heat, "flame icon" appears but no heat and no fan. Thermo doesn't click when adjusting temperature. Set to fan, there is no fan.?

There is a 3 amp fuse in the main circuit board. If this fuse is bad ,nothing will work but because of the batteries in the thermostat it will lead you to believe that the unit is working properly, however, it is only showing you what is supposed to be. Replace the fuse and everything will work.

I know how to set the thermostat but the heaters dont seem to come on unless set to a high heat !!

If you have 2 thermostats it is called a 2 zone system. I can help you but it may take a few messages back and forth.
  1. Go to one the thermostats and read the actual temperature the thermostat is showing in the room.
  2. Turn the the heat on by increasing the temperature you are requesting on the Thermostat (use the dial or buttons depending on the type) & write this temperature down
  3. Write down the temperature in the room when the unit stops.
Reply to this message with the (3) Temperatures i/e T1=__, T2=__, T3=__. I will get back to you w/ the next step.

We have a new OFC2400TIF heater. We have set a program which worked for a day. Now the heater will not work on either manual or auto. The display lights are all on, the screen indicates that the heater is...

The heater may need to reset itself. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the heater from the wall outlet. Wait 12 - 15 minutes and plug the heater back in. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set the controls as you normally would. Hopefully, that 12 - 15 minute timeout allowed the heater to reset itself. If this continues to occur, contact Dimplex Technical Service at

Hope this helps you to further troubleshoot and solve the problem.

2 0f the trhree tiles are not turning bright red.

This heater is a three stage many tiles are burning is dependent on the setting of the thermostat... (the knob on the top) and the temperature in the room...

If the setting and the temperature are close then the heater will only burn one tile....if the temperature in the room starts to drop then another will light.... and if there is a wide difference then the three will light....

If you have a room that is warm already then you may not be able to get all three to light as the thermostat may not go that high...

If the room is cool and the other two tiles are not lighting then either the thermostat has gone bad or the gas valve is bad.... troubleshooting that is very is best to replace the thermostat first and then if that does not work either replace the heater of the gas valve... however the gas valve will cost very nearly as much as a new heater...

Early / Late boost in dimplex storage heater

The output setting if turned off isn't adjusting the temperature in the room automatically if its off,and by turning the output up is like turning up the heat.By turning the output switch on you can let the heater automatically control the heat.Still you need to monitor the adjustments to your liking and then you know how hot it will be when you come back into that room.
