My sewing machine stops after about 10 revolutions, the motor is till running but the needle does not move. any suggestions please ?

1. Loosen the screw on the front of the hand wheel, almost completely.
2. Now, tighten the hand wheel control knob. The needle should be able to move now.
3. Tighten the screw. Your hand wheel control knob should be able to be loosened for bobbin winding and tightened for sewing.
Just for information purposes: The hand wheel control knob is usually the small round knob on the front of the hand wheel and is also very shiny.

How do I adjust the saw blade tension?

There should be a knob at the top of the upper wheel case. You twist this in one direction to tighten and the other to loosen. There should be an indicator for the amount of tension, which you vary for different blade sizes and material. You also will see a knob for adjusting the tilt of the upper wheel that allows you to adjust for tracking of the blade.
Please be careful, band saws are very good at cutting anything. Never get your hands close to the blade when it is running.

Blade tracking for diamond laser 3000 - blade keeps coming off regardless of how many times I set knobs

There are several factors why blade snaps. It could be due to faulty adjustment of the guides or feeding to fast.
But sometimes, it could be also the quality of the blade. I have Haltbar blades from sawblade.com , the best quality .
make sure everything is set up properly and consult you speed and feed charts
for proper cutting rates. Try also to check if it is really properly tensioned ,read this blog ,this might help you : http://bandsawblog.com/blade-tension/

How do I change a blade with the Bosch 1587VS?

you need to lift up on the knob to loosen the spindle and remove/install the blade. To install the blade you might need to turn it some and push up and when it is straight then you need to turn the knob while holding up on it till it is snug and then push the knob down.

How do I repace the saw blade

Hello. Woobie Dog here. Welcome to FixYa. The normal way to replace a blade is as follows:
1. Make sure that the power is off (unplugged).
2. Remove the side cover. The cover is held on by knobs.
3. The upper and lower wheels, as well as the blade can now be seen. There is a tensioning knob that needs to be loosened in order to get the blade off, and to put the new blade on.
4. Replace the blade, paying attention to the direction of the teeth on the blade, and reverse the process.

Hope that this helps.

Removed top wheel because the tension adjustment knob became loos

You might have the tilt in the top wheel too far back for the blade to go on. Also when it tilts back down , it usually loosens up and drops down again. If you get the blade on there, tilt it back up so that the blade rides in the center of the tire, turn it by hand, don't let it touch any guides or bearings. Then tighten it up till it twangs. Try it.

Bosch 1587 AVS blade install problem

I bought this saw and then wasted some time looking for "SDS" blades (which my manual called for) until I discovered that a T-shank blade was what was required. As far as the blade change goes, I had to practice changing the blade a few times before I figured out an easy way to do it. It's not so much that the top knob has to be pulled up hard, but it must be raised approximatley 10mm or 3/8". This knob will then either loosen (counterclockwise rotation) or tighten (clockwise rotation) the blade retaining mechanism. A good indication for me when the know was high enough was when I could see numbers exposed on the inner portion of the top knob (the neck) and could also see (when I looked under the top knob) that the top knob was now engaging the "teeth" on the small white phenolic gear. It is this gear that actually loosens or tightens the blade. The blade will loosen once the knob is turned counterclockwise (3 times), but the backside (smooth side) of the blade must be pulled away from the guide wheel as it is rotated 90 degrees. To install a blade, you you simply reverse this process. An audible click will be heard when tightening, but I would certainly always double-check to make sure the blade is tight, before operation. I almost ran the jigsaw with a loose blade the first time I put a blade in the saw. I hope this helps...

there are two type of removing the blade of electric fan,one is there is a center knob with mark arrow loosen and tight direction at the center holding fan blade, this to lock fan blade on its shafting. to remove fan blade.loosen holder knob on clockwise direction while holding the fan blade,to release the knob check the arrow on the knob. after loosening knob pull out blade from the shafting.

the other type the fan blade has lock in bolt at the back side of the fan blade bolt in on the shafting of the fan, you need here a tools such as set of socket wrench small one to loosen the bolt

I do not know how to change the blade on a dewalt

I'm not familiar with that particular band saw but I have had a few different band saws and they all pretty much work the same.

Unplug the saw and remove the top and bottom wheel guards.

Look behind the top wheel and you should see a large bolt standing vertically it may have a knob on it or it may not, look on the bolt to see if it has stop nuts if so loosen them then turn this knob so as to lower the wheel enough so you can remove the old blade.

Clean the rubber tires on both wheels and install the band with the teeth facing down.

Now the tricky part, adjust the top wheel so that it is firmly against the band and turn the wheel slowly by hand (be sure the saw is unplugged) if the band "walks" one way or another, you will have to find the set screw or set screws that adjust the tilt of the wheel, adjust these until the band runs true on the wheel. When it does, tighten the wheel a litte more and turn again slowly by hand repeat this until the band runs true and it is very tight on the wheel, Put the guards back on before you turn on the power. You should be good to go.

Bought model 3400 skil table saw. have no manual. can't find control for tilting blade. how do i tilt blade

This model does not have a knob on the side.
There is only a locking lever on the front next to a single rotating wheel for height adjustments. To tilt the blade simply twist the locking lever to the left and push the height adjustment wheel to the right. It can be a bit stiff at times to move.
