Can't find the paper that is jammed in the printer (laserjet 2600n) its says its in the output bin

The output bin sensor check the quantity of printed paper that remain in the upper part of the printer. When the paper is too much, the sensor report a paper jam.

Check the lever of the sensor in output bin if it's working properly

My paper does not lift out of my printer while printing. I get a Jam in tray 2 error.

Depending on page count and type of paper you print on, it might be as simple as a dirty or worn pickup roller. You can try printing from the manual feed to verify that the printer works.

You can view a video on HP website on how to remove the roller.

You can try cleaning it first with a water dampened cloth to remove paper dust from it.

Had a jam on my color laserjet 2600n; cleared the jam but the printer continues to say the same message and won't clear.

you must clear the entire paper path. if you have done this than you could possibly have a bad paper switch in the paper path

Paper is jamming when I print something

Were you able to remove all of the original jammed business cards? where the leading edge of the "Fanfold" prints occurs, you will probably find something blocking the paper path. HP printers usually have a limit on the paper weight that the printer can handle when doing duplex (2 sided) printing. Check this against the weight of the cards you are printing.

Jamming on Output bin...

Ok if the paper is half way coming out, Two things could be happening.
1.) Either your paper feed tires are Slipping and haven't reached the outpit bin sensor in time.
2.) second problem could be is that the fuser film is worn and is not fuser correctly and needs to be replaced.

Are you getting an Error Codes ???

Paper jam

The paper jams are in the fuser area. Which is very hot. The following is a link to change the fuser. It may be that you can get to the jam by removing the top cover.

2600N: glossy paper

Is this HP glossy paper? I would think that laser printers have a hard enough time handling any glossy paper as it is because you run the risk of the gloss burning as the paper goes through the printer so you might have to use the paper recommended by HP.

Here are the specs of the accepted paper.

Hope this helps!

Wont print continuously on Cardstock

The cardstock you are using might be to heavy or rough for the 2600n to use.

FOr this printer HP recommends paper no thicker than 0.18 mm (7.0 mils), and between 100 and 250 on the Sheffield "smoothness" scale.

More information on recommended paper weight and smoothness is available here:
