SOURCE: DVD MALFUNCTION [MODEL PIONEER XV-DV131 (DVD/CD HOME THEATER]

I have the same problem with my XV-DV333. Search on inet and this came up: "... Pick Out One Of These! But I am unable to select any region using the remote control or the buttons on the player. What do I do? You need to get a Pioneer Service Remote. When you have it you should press: [ESC] [A.MON] [Numbers], where [Numbers] correspond to the region number you want to set. Be aware that you can only set this once, if you set the wrong region number for your area, there is no turning back. " WTF! Am I supposed to get a service remote to get this thing working again. I haven't done anything and it worked before:/

What is the solution to an error code ( OC ERR 1) ON PIONEER XV-DV360

The "OC ERR 1" code is a sign that there is something wrong with the speaker connection(s). Mostly one of the speaker cables is causing a short-circuit, which triggers the safety system. Power off the unit and pull out the plug. Check all the speaker connections (amplifier and speaker side) and make sure that no (parts of the) cable is (are) touching the chassis. Twist the cable ends to a single core if necessary.

Oc error 1

The laser is not working, or a motor quit. try unplugging it and press the power button for 10 seconds before restarting it with the cord in the wall.
Check if there is a reset button on the back, The button will be small like a paper clip size eject button on the dvd player, to get the disk out. It will be in small print. Good luck.

Probably isn't available anymore, but you can try Pioneer's website. It's usually(at least me for that matter) repaired it to the component level. For more information, or should you have any further questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me through the website. Thank you.

My Pioneer DVD player displays OC ERR 1

You need to replace the IC Amplifiers that is near the channels when you open the player (make sure it is NO LONGER under warranty or else you'll void it). The cause perhaps is that your speakers have been shorted.
