Hello,

I would recommend you perform a system restore on your computer. System restore will help to back date the system. You can restore the system to the time when this problem wasn't occurring.

Go to Start menu > All programs > Accessories > System tools > System restore.

Your computer will be restarted after the system restore. After that, try downloading again.

Good luck.

    Hi,

in that case, you will have to repair windows with the operating system disc of your system. This will help to put your windows back to order.

Let me know if your don't know how to run the restore with OS disc. But you must have the OS disc before you can repair windows.

    Bye for now.

    Hi,

it won't remove your data since you are only repairing windows. This is not a fresh/complete windows installation, so there is nothing to worry about.

Insert the disc into your disc drive, the shut down your computer. Turn your computer back on, and it will boot from the disc already inserted. You will see "Press any key...." press enter button on your keyboard and first stage of installation will proceed.

After that, read information carefully, to proceed to the next stage, you will see an option to either repair windows or perform complete install, choose repair windows. Wait for the repairs to complete, computer will be restarted and that would be all.

When your computer is restated and it gets to the "Press any key...." stage, please don't press any button this time, else it will start the installation process again. Don't press anything and it will be by passed. Or you can just remove the disc from the drive.

Make sure you read information/instruction before you proceed every next step.

    Good luck.

Windows 8.1 Store Error 0x80072ee7 Fix?

The 0x80072EE7 error code may occur if the client computer cannot find the correct IP address when it tries to resolve a URL for the Windows Update Web site or for the Microsoft Update Web site. This error may occur if the Hosts file contains a static IP address.

To resolve this error, examine the Hosts file. (This file may also be named Hosts.sam.) Make sure that the file does not list any static IP entries for the Windows Update Web site or for the Microsoft Update Web site.

The Hosts file is located in the C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc folder. To view the Hosts file, you may have to associate the file with Notepad. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the Hosts file.
  2. Click Open With, and then select Notepad from the list of programs.
If the Hosts file contains a static IP address that is associated with Windows Update or with Microsoft Update, comment the entry by adding the # sign at the beginning of the entry. You can also delete the whole line and save changes to the Hosts file.

Note Programs, such as Web accelerators, DNS accelerators, DNS caching utilities, and Spyblockers, can add static IP entries for the Windows Update Web site or for the Microsoft Update Web site to your Hosts file. This scenario can cause Windows Update or Microsoft Update to fail.

Code Oxcooooo22

Even when I am using the administrator account I can not download updates
from the windows update site the yellow icon used to appear but no updates,
now no icon appears, these messages come up whenever I've tried to download
updates manually from the windows update site [Error number: 0x8DDD0002] or
something that goes like this OxOOOA46 and there is a link to where one gets
instructions on fixing it. I have done what was suggested which was to go to
tools internet explorer security and make sure user persistence user data was
enabled I've done all this to no avail. I've been told that I need to be an
administrator to download updates but anytime I've tried to download updates
I've been using an account with administrator privileges.

I've had problems accessing the internet for ages but it is only lately that
I can't download updates from the windows update site.

I keep getting these error messages when I switch on my computer using the
limited account. ccApap.exe - Application Error.
The application failed to initialise properly (OxcOOOOO22) click on ok to
terminate the application.

I click on ok and then another message comes up osCheck.exe - Application
Error
The application failed to initialise properly (OxcOOOOO22)click on ok to
terminate the program

Again I click on ok and another message comes up PIFSvc.exe - Application
Error
The application failed to initialise properly(OxcOOOOO22) Click on OK to
terminate the application.

I click on ok and windows loads as normal. I can access programs such as
works and windows media player but my anti virus (Norton Internet Security
2007) has disappeared but when I use the Administrator Account Norton seems
to be there and seems to work ok.

My computer is a year old and I have had to get it repaired a couple of
times but I don't want to spend any more on it as they can't seem to fix the
problem. I can do what I want so long as it is offline anything that
involves the internet I have problems with. The computer Operating System is
Windows xp Home Edition with service pack 2. I use Internet Explorer version
7.

Any ideas on why I have problems with the internet and what I can do to
solve them would be much appreciated.

None of those failing modules that you mention are from Microsoft.
I suspect that they may be from your security package(s).
Try enabling the Windows firewall only. Uninstall your other security packages
and then retry getting the updates.

BTW if you are only concerned with getting the updates but don't care how
you could also try using the Windows Update Catalog, download and install
manually from there.

How do i disable the firewall to enable updates? some updates won't install, error code seems to suggest a firewall may be stopping this, the router has a firewall and i think this may be causing the...

The router firewall should never be the cause of failing updates. If the update is detected and download, the installation can only fail because of local computer settings, not a router's firewall.
So your PC's firewall could (maybe) be the cause, but even that is not common.

What is the error message? And is this a Windows update or a specific program update?

I have the cd of A4tech web cam but i cannot install it.

go to microsoft and update your computer and go to the web site for youe printer and update your printer software once you have done that go ahead and install the camera, if you you have a USB printer that may be your problem try using a different usb hook up. install the camera and if it gives you an error code microsoft will give yo a solution to fix the issue, it would be helpful to know your printer type as well. Also go to this site download this registry program http://www.driversdownloadhub.com/drivers.php?fix=File%20Extension%20MAN and run it to see if it fixes the problem, if not go to http://www.drivers.com and go to the driver update page download the install active x control and san for drivers it will then tell you what drivers are out of date on your computer and you can go to each site and download then to update your computer.

don't install this update. Go to the windows update function and make it ask you before it will update your machine. When this update appears just check don't install and do not remind me again box's and that will stop the update from ever getting on your machine.
