Question about ASUS P7P55DE Pro Motherboard

SixEngine.exe and TurboVHelp.exe are blinking under win7 user in the bottom task bar. No problem under administrator. I can get rid of the blinking by clicking on the twobuttons and adding the admin password. Is there a better way? Many thanks.

SixEngine needed permission too though not TurboV. So, though I found out how to run it as admin, it's useless so I just uninstalled it.

I wouldn't want turboV to run without prompt: so anyone could adjust system voltages. If this is what turboV does, no way, and mine sadly doesn't need permission to run. Fortunately, I am the only user.

No start task bar in safe mode

It sounds like explorer.exe is being turned off. When you log in to Safe Mode hit Ctl+Alt+Del to bring the Task Manager and see if explorer.exe is running under Processes. If not, you can go to the Applications tab in Task Manager and click the New Task button and simply type in explorer.exe.
If this does not give you your Start Menu and Task Bar then you need to take your computer back to the repair service and have them fix it properly this time. Otherwise, you'll have to reinstall the operating system.

MENU BAR IS GONE...PUFF, GONE

Press ctrl+esc to see if the start menu pops up, if it does not then proceed by trying the following steps below.

Make sure explorer.exe is still running:
Press ctrl+alt+delete to get into Task Manager and do File -> New Task -> explorer.exe -> OK

Otherwise check to see if your task bar is auto hiding:
Move the cursor to all four edges of the screen in an attempt to locate the hiding task bar. If the task bar does pop up, right click on it and press properties. Proceed by unchecking Auto-hide the taskbar under the Taskbar tab and pressing Apply and OK.

If all else fails, try rebooting the PC.

I have a problem with my hpdv5 1205tx my current windows is vista i repormat in windows 7 now my problem is my digital personel fingerprint was not connected i already down digital personel 4.11 help me...

If you have installed either 64 bit or 32 bit, then you have to run the installation as administrator.

To do this, just right click on the installation file and choose run as administrator.

If this did not help, refer the below steps:

  • Download version 2.01 of DigitalPersona software
  • Install on existing system
  • Export data
  • Boot into Win7
  • Install 2.01
  • Reboot
  • Reset properties for each of 7 EXE files
  • Reboot
  • Register a finger print
  • Import data saved in step 3

  • Download from here:

    http://download.cnet.com/DigitalPersona-Password-Manager/3000-18501_4-201746.html

    Step 3:

Export is available as an icon choice in the system tray. Save to a file for use in Step 10.

    Step 7:

The run properties for each of the 7 EXE files in the DigitalPersona install need to be adjusted. The files are:
    DPAgnt.exe
    DPConsol.exe
    DPExpImp.exe
    DpFpLogonManager.exe
    DpHost.exe
    DPRunDll.exe
    DPWinLct.exe

Select each and set as follows:
    • Compatibility tab
    • Press ã¢â‚¬å“Change settings for all usersã¢â‚¬â
    • Select run in Vista mode
    • Select run at admin near bottom
Repeat for each of the 7 EXE files.

    Nnags.

I HAVE A WINDOW XP HOME EDITION AND WHEN I START MY COMPUTER THE ONLY THING THAT COMES UP IS THE BACKGROUND. THERE ARE NO ICONS OR A BAR AT BOTTOM OF SCREEN.

the icons and the bar(task bar) at the bottom of the screen are enabled by the explorer.exe file

it starts automatically but in your case it is not starting

to start it when your computer starts and comes at the desktop, press alt+ctrl+delete button at the same time to bring up the task manager

when you do this a task manager shows up in a window

in task manager window click on file, it will be located on the top left portion on task manager

    now click on "new task(run)"

this opens another window, in that window type
    "explorer"
without the quotes "" and press enter
this will bring you icons and task bar at the bottom of the screen

Are you using Kaspersky Antivirus? For updated KIS 2009 (e.g., v.8.0.0.506) users, click on KIS icon on toolbar, then "Applications under Control" at bottom of page. You will find that CEC_MAIN.EXE has been assigned to the "Untrusted" file at the bottom of the list. Highlight CEC_MAIN.EXE, then move it to the "Low Restricted" file above.
