My refrigerator (hoover hca390ffk) seems to be automatically defrosting for no reason. Can I fix this?

There is a defrost timer that starts and stops defrosts
The timer has probably failed.
A new timer will fix the problem

Fridge keeps freezing.


its not going into auto defrost the cause is either the freezer fan jammed or burned out the defrost timer but in 99% cases its a burnt out defrost element id start there replace it

You have an auto defrost problem. Need to check element for resistence. if good, check the thermal fuse for continuety. Most of the time i replace both the thermal fuse and the little clixon that is attached to the evaporator coil. Defrost timer is quite robust and very seldom do i need to replace that. You need to firstly defrost freezer overnight to allow cover removal. All components should be visible.

Hoover HCA390FFK not draining through drain plug


A common problem is a blocked drain tube. Using compressed air, blow through the tube to clear it. Also, make sure that th refrigerator is level in both directions to allow proper pitch for draining.
