SOURCE: Washer is giving an E21

some of the newer ones have a trap in the hose that comes from the tub to the drain pump and frigidaire says it must be reinstalled no lower than the third ridge of the hose if yours has one i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water out of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case. Now remove the two screws on the front lower panel and pull the panel
in side you will see the drain pump if you did not have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps and clamp the hose line as close to the washer as possible.(but put down some towels as water always stays there) then pull the tub to pump hose by depressing the squeeze clamp(now while your at the auto parts id get a screw clamp to replace the spring clamp it makes putting the hose back on a lot easier)pull the hose off. Then pull the pump to drain hose off .Remove the two 5/16 in screws securing the pump to the washer base.Unplug the connector and remove the pump inspect the pump for foreign objects, broken or stripped impeller blades . if the impeller are stripped you will have to replace the pump

SOURCE: ERROR NOT DRAINING

the filter is located right after you open the drain cover on the bottom of the washer it's a hard plastic filter, if it is not clogged with any debris, then it sounds like your pump motor is bad, maybe need to replace it. lg's are very sensitive........., find out the part number and search it through google. if not email me and i could set sumthin up for you.

SOURCE: Clogged drain in front load

hi
To completely clear any clogs in the washing machine drain, use a pipe auger (snake) through the drain hose and look out for any debris/cloth that might be clogging the hose.
Remove the drain hose from the back of the washing machine. This is normally held in place by a clamp or a couple of screws.
look for any clogging from the orifice which opens up for the drain.
if this doesn't solve the problem, you have to open the machine to look for blockage in the drums, which is better handled by a serviceman.

cheers

Top load washer smells like rotten eggs when water is draining into tub

As someone who has had a deep well drilled and found water, but water contaminated with iron and sulfur, I can tell you first hand about the rotten egg smell. The water softener will remove the iron that can turn clothes orange, but doesn't do anything to remove the rotten egg odor. You will need a charcoal (carbon) water filter to eliminate the sulfur smell.

My GE top load washer is about 5 months old. It fills up and runs through the agitation cycle but then stops at the end spin cycle. The clothes just sit in the water. I checked the hose for kinks and...

I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.

Whirlpool Cabrio Leaks Water

Good luck. Mine did the same and they sent their technicians out to fix the problem. A&E comes out and replaces the tub ring. They told me the washer is now made with the tub ring in place. When he opened the washer up I noticed I now have rust inside my washer. I have spent a month trying to get Whirlpool to replace my washer but they will only replace parts. A&E came out to replace the tub ring and now my door creaks and my washer does not go back together correctly. Hopefully you can justreturn the washer to where you got it. Read other reviews on line. It sounds like this washer is a lemon. Sorry!

My washer will not fill during the cycle for high agitation

You may have a siphoning problem. Double check your drain hose and make sure it's not shoved down in the standpipe too far. The standpipe is the drain line at the wall. If your drain hose is placed too deep into the standpipe, or if you have the top of the standpipe sealed off, the washer will begin to fill and continue to drain at the same time. The symptom will appear as if the washer is constantly filling. You need to leave an air gap opening around the rim of the standpipe, and the drain hose should only be placed about 4 to 6 inches into the drain line. I hope this helps you. Post back if this is not the problem you are experiencing and I will try to provide you with a better solution. Let me know if you have any questions.

Will not drain

Some machines will agitate with the top open but need the lid closed to drain/spin. Your machine should have a hidden lid switch attached to the lid hinge. This "arm" is probably out of position and will need to be bent slightly to engage the switch. You should hear a faint mechanical click as you open and close the lid. The cabinet will have to be removed from the machine to correct this.
