I would assume this may have Windows XP or 7, see if you can find the recovery disk for your machine. One of the things you can try is use the CD as your boot disk (you may need to enter the BIOS or SETUP to change the boot order...there will be a key to hit when you see the Toshiba splash screen when you first boot the machine...it will say press "<some key here>" to enter setup.)
Once you boot from the disk I would try getting to a command prompt and running the following command: chkdsk c: /f /r

This will scan and repair any bad sectors on your hard drive and if they can be repaired it may make your machine bootable again. If they cannot be repaired, it may be that your hard drive is dying. Either way...if you get into the machine (even from the boot disk) if you can see the drive, I'd recommend backing up whatever files you can, because if the drive dies, you will lose your data

turn off your laptop by hold your power..ten turn on again and try to press f8 when it booting..go to safe mode and restore it by go to all program, accessories, system tools, and system restore

if u be able to check the chips VGA and South-bridge, while the board on/working without casing u can fell by touch the chips surface if its hot or warm that mean chips working fine, if not that is make the display blank, if its fine just try to reset hardware Bios.. Good Luck

it's normal and that's how it must work...continiously...if it stops the cpu chip/intel processor will beccome hot and crack...

Hi, I comment to him friend that this equipment not this one designed for winXP, reason for which it gives him problems installing the disc sata, it is a sample of which the not this architecture contemplated or designed for operating systems based on Ms - Dos, the win Vista treatment of disc gives him Raid and because of it if he installs, but for Win Xp it is not possible, Good Luck.
