Question about Wharfedale DVD-M3 DVD Player

I have a Wharfedale DVD24HD160F unit. Whie looking through the SETUP menu, I inadvertantly pressed the INTERLACING[?] setting. Now I can't change things back to get a picture. Is there a RESET button anwhere to allow me to change this setting back to normal and allow me to view the TV/DVD/HD via the unit? have no maual

Hi,
Press Stop button to stop dvd playback, press and hold STOP button for 6-7 seconds on dvd player front that will turn Off Interlace video output.
If that does not fix the problem, connect this unit with tv through Component Video jacks as same would be available in tv to get picture, dvd player has been set on Progressive mode.

I think if u look through the manual there is a factory settings bit in it where everything goes back to how it was when new. I'm having a problem with mine when i want to watch a DVD it keeps pausing/ Jumping every 3 mins or so all way through the film . any idea's

Would you like to unlock your Wharfedale M5 DVD Player to Region Free?

Follow these steps to unlock your Wharfedale M5 DVD Player:

  1. Press the Setup button on your remote control.
  2. Press the buttons 6, 2, 8, 3 and then 6 on your remote control.
  3. In the Regions Setting - Factory Menu page, set a specific region or choose All for Region Free playback.
  4. Press the Setup button on your remote control to exit the menu.

Your Wharfedale M5 DVD Player is now Region Free.

Power up the player and open the tray. With the tray open, hit the setup button and then 0000 and then the "Up" button.
On the Setup menu, go to Version and hit enter. Go to region code and change the number to 0 for region free and hit setup again to save.
Or
Power up the player and open the tray.
Press the SETUP button. The setup menu appears.
Press ZERO on the remote control four times - 0000
Press the CHAPTER FORWARD button - the one on the bottom right of the remote control unit that looks like a double arrow with a bar.
A new menu item appears, "Version". There is a REGION option you can select, and this can be set to zero "0" for all regions. Once you see its set to region 0, press SETUP to exit, close the tray and power off. When you power up again, its region free. RCE disks work fine in this unit.
To recap - open the tray, press setup, press 0-0-0-0, press Chapter Forward, select Version, choose 0 for region free, press setup again.

Wharfedale dvdrhd400 problems


Change the Scart setting (in the setup menu) from the default setting (RGB) to the other available setting (CVSC?).
I have a problem with my box restting the clock on a random basis, making it impossible to set a timer to record anything - let us know if you get the same problem via this site!
