Question about Cell Phones
I don't think it's related to updates, but there might have been some changes with the settings? First restart your phone and take out the sim, keep it outside for few minutes and reinsert it, then Turn Back on the phone. This will help it to restore the temporary changes made to your phone settings (if any).
Second step is, try the sim card on another handset and send a message with the similar length. If it's sent and you see no problem then check the message settings of the other phone, locate Message (sending) Profile and find out the Message Center number, copy the message center number (note down), now turn off the phone and insert the sim card to your phone, check the Message Center number on your mobile and make sure the one you've noted down matches the one on your phone. If not, save the new one (the one from the other phone) and restart your phone with the sim card inserted and try again. It should work fine.
If the message you sent from the other handset didn't send, then there's something wrong with your sim card service. First call the service provider and verify any issues from their end (related to your sim card) and also ask them about the message center numbers if there's any changes they've made recently.
Another tip you can try is, restore the phone to it's default settings [without the Sim card inserted]. (I can't make this specific since you didn't mention the phone make and model). Once it's done, turn off the phone and reinsert the sim card.
Let me know if the problem persists or if you have problem doing all these.
Thanks for using FixYa.
