I can not download videos to the player I have use .WMV .MP4 And AVI what am I doing wrong

I have and it works fine. To convert files to wmv so they work with your MixMax download Magic DVD Ripper found at You can run the trial 5 times so I suggest before shutting out the program to do all the movies you can. When you do it, under the output folder click on Profile and click more profiles. There will be a Disney MixMax option choose that one, rename your title and pick your destination folder and then click start it will do the rest. When finished just copy and past the movie to either your hardware or to a SD card. HIpe this helps!

Deleting music on a mix-max

As far as why it's stopping it could be several things; there could be a problem with the track itself being corrupted or, depending on where you got the tracks, they could be protected with Digital Rights Management. The memory in the player could also be corrupt as well. I would start with reformatting the memory in the player to correct any potential corruption there might be. Below are three links that will answer both of your questions. Always make sure you properly disconnect the player from your computer to reduce the risk of corrupting the memory and causing these types of problems.

Mix Max movie becomes pixellated.

If other video cards do not have the same issue then it's probably because the HSM card was damaged by inserting it or removing it when the player was turned on. Or you may simply need to reformat the memory of the player or it could be that flashing the firmware of the player could correct the issue.

To format the player follow the instructions listed here;

If that doesn't work try the firmware listed here;

Mix Max

You can try the instructions located at the link below to try flashing the internal firmware of the player and see if that corrects the issue. If that doesn't work I'd suggest contacting Digital Blue for warranty replacement.

Disney mixmax for vista

The software won't install but you don't need it in order to use it. It's a plug in that interfaces with Windows Media Player. Since Vista comes with Windows Media Player 11 you can just go to the sync page to add songs to the player.

Driving me nuts

It has to make a library file of the contents on the player. It uses that file to display the titles and artists when scrolling through the menus and what not. You'll have to format your player in order to clear it up. This will erase everything and then you can put your songs and stuff back on it. Just make sure that when you do you leave at least 4 megs of space for it to make that library file. Here's a link to the manufacturers instructions on how to format the player.

File (only in video) not recognised

ok i found the firmware through the settings icon on the mixmax.
it is different p.1.3.006 vs p1.0.026.

not sure if this is the reason for the filenames to be showing up as numbers in the newer mixmax.

also i cant modify the connection mode from auto to mtp
